my heart was racing,

I didn't know what to say. what to do

I am in shock

my body frozen

I see all of them look at me until one speaks up.

"are you okay?" Luke asks and I nod.

I lied

I'm not okay.

if okay meant, going to faint any minute now and turning white as snow white or quivering in anxiety. then yes I'm totally fine. I'm perfect.

ashton opens the door to the therapist and i see the therapist sitting on his table and reading a book.

"why hello kids," he greets.
"come in" he continues, cheerily.
"why, you all look dashing," he compliments and we all smile gratefully at him.

"thank you" we all say in unison, but mine comes off as a whisper.

his mouth opens agape and his eyes widen.

"wh- what?" he stammers in shock.

"we said thank you" Michael butts in.

"b-b-ut you're mute," he stutters once again his voice cracking.

"we're selective mutes," ari announces.

"oh oh oh" he says slowly.

"so we can leave?" I ask.

"I need to hear you all speak,"

we all groan "fine"

"hi my names Kate and I think I'm funny," she says with all confidence I wish I had.

"hi my name is ashton and I can play the drums," he does a gesture like he was air drumming.

"hi my names ari and I'm very weird," she says running a hand through her hair and popping a gum to her mouth.

"oh yeah. I'm Michael and I play the guitar quite well," Michael announces as the therapist nods.

"I'm Luke and I want to be free from this shit place," he says hesitantly.

"your words, young man," he warned

"sorry,"Luke says lowly.

"I'm calum and you can call me cal," is all he says.

I'm next and my heart is beating rapidly.

I hope no one hears my heart beats going 23372 per minute

but they probably do.

my hand is shaking and I bite back my tears.

what if he rapes me?

what if my brother comes back for me .

"I-I'm r-Reine and I wanna leave," I say quietly, stammering.

he nods.

"you may all leave," he announces and we all scream including me.

I felt safe now.

I felt like my brother won't touch me.

I felt like no one could hurt me.

like I could stand on my own.

we all walk out and to our dorms and pack.

after packing I see a note on my bed.

"meet me at the garden,

~ calum"

I finish packing and I head out to the garden where I see calum standing.

"we belong together," calum says and pulls me closer to him. his lips meet mine and I taste the mint on his breath. his tongue licking my lip and I opening my mouth for him to enter.

we pulled away and I see Luke staring at us.

"oh," he says simply.

l-Luke" I say.

" it's okay," he nods his head.

"Luke," I say

yeah?" he turns his head to me.

"thank you," I smile and run to him and hug him.

I kissed him in the cheek and whispered to his ear, "you're the best,"

"only for you," he says tenderly.

three of us left the garden and go to the main entrance of the place.

we're all standing in one line our bags on the floor.

"so what do we do now?" I ask.

they all look at me. I blush.
they smile and say "be free," I nod.

it wasn't really the answer I was looking for.

I was looking for something more specific.

"anything specific?"

ashton smirks at me.

" the club," Kate says.

and now we were free.

no more limits.

I could do anything I want.

calum snakes his hand on my shoulder and I smile.

"do we have a car?" Michael asks

"yes we do," I say and it was my turn to smirk.

"from where?" luke asks

"turns out my family does care and they sent me a car whenever I decided to leave.

and I did leave.

I kiss calum on the cheek and we head out.

and have the best day.
