Today was the day.

Today was the day Kiibo had prepared for for so long. Hours of researching the subject and observing others all had led up to this very moment. Their anniversary. Their first anniversary, to be exact.

Both Ouma and Kiibo had been together for a while now, and minus the small bumps in the road here and there, they were still going as strong as ever and that didn't look like it was going to anytime soon.

So that's why he tried his hardest to make sure everything was exactly to plan. Whether he knows it or not, Ouma has done so much for him during the time they've been a couple, even before that, too. He made him experience emotions he never thought he would. He opened his eyes to the world around him.

And most importantly, he taught him to love.

All of that was something he could never repay. Kiibo accepted that he was forever in debt, but that didn't stop him from still trying.

In preparation for the day, he had worked to the best of his abilities to fully grasp the concept of human relationships. This included, surfing the internet, watching almost every romantic movie there was and lastly, and probably the most creepy, he would sit around outside, taking notes on how the couples would act both with eachother and in public. He wanted to be the best boyfriend for Ouma.

-------------------

Looking in the mirror once again, Kiibo fixed my his collar in an attempt to rid of his nerves acting up for the millionth time today.

They were set to go out together this evening.

It wasn't anything special, much to the robot's dismay. No matter how many times he had tried to persuade Ouma to let him treat him to some fancy dinner or something, said boy would always refuse. The other simply didn't understand why, though. His lover deserved the best he could possibly deliver.

"Are you ready?" Kiibo eventually spoke, his voice still slightly shaky.

Ouma nodded from the bed, tying his shoelace before hopping up with a nod. "Mhm!"

He strolled over to the other, wrapping his arms around his waist. They stared at their reflections for a few moments, basking in how well they really looked while both together and slightly more dressed up than usual. What each could focus on, however, was more their partner's face rather than their own.

"Look at us. We look good." The smaller boy hummed, smiling sincerely. The taller one nodded, placing his synthetic hands over the flesh covered ones around him. No matter how long they've been together, Kiibo was still easily flustered when it came to intimacy.

"Y-You look good. You always d-do!" He smiled, turning around so their chests were pressed together. "Let's go before it gets too dark for me to show you off!" And with that, they left.

-------------------

The sun was lowering back into the horizon, its bright rays dimming the sky as they left, a dark, cerulean canvas left in their tracks.

Both Ouma and Kiibo were walking side-by-side, their hands brushing together occasionally. The robot swallowed, trying to reach out and grasp the other's hand, but always stopping midway before shakily pulling away. He didn't want to creep him out with his sudden actions.

Ouma looked to the side, noticing his boyfriend's behaviour. He wasn't acting normal. He seemed beyond tense.

That's when he looked down, watching as the other helplessly tried to hold his hand. The supreme leader let out a small laugh, finding the resistance quite cute. Kiibo was looking away, so he was completely caught off guard by the grip on his hand. Ouma was holding it, a closed-eye smile on his face as he moved to rest his head on Kiibo's shoulder.
