How long had it been now?

Two years?
No, one. Almost, right?

The past few months had seemed to go by like a blur in those usually pale blue eyes that were full of synthetic life that oddly seemed all to real to be artificially created.
Said eyes that used to see the world in such bright and vivid colour, a colour always overpowered by the exhilarating shade of violet.

So long ago now, yet Kiibo could still recall the exact shade of purple that used to fuel his emotions. The brightened tips of spiky hair that tickled against armor so softly that caused a strange sensory overdrive for the poor robot.

It was honestly amazing how much Kiibo's A.I. had managed to learn and comprehend over the years of him being brought into this world - powering beyond initial expectations in order to learn and master human emotion perfectly. It was almost as if the robot himself had a heart. Despite not physically harboring one within his chest cavity, amongst the wires and cogs, the pale-haired boy was still able to feel everything.
He began to notice that when he had Ouma.

The supreme leader was one of the main focal points for Kiibo to learn and observe, from how he reacted to certain events, and how his sarcastic facade would drop on occasion. Kokichi had a layered personality that was difficult for many to understand, but despite Kiibo's unknowing ability to comprehend it, he tried his best in hopes of bettering himself. He tried his best for Kokichi of all people.

..So, why did it have to end up like this?

Why was he alone again?

Kiibo had always worried something like this would happen, and Ouma would always reassure him that such a thing was out of the question!

"Silly, I love you! Only you!"  The words rang loudly in his head, so deafening that it caused a metallic hand to reach up in order to soothe the pain. His eyes close with a small, electrical whir.

"I wish you did," the robot whispers to himself, as if talking to the purple-haired boy in person. If only it were that easy.
The two hadn't spoken now in what felt like an eternity. As Kiibo had suspected, Kokichi had gotten bored of him, just as he did with everything else.

Maybe it was the fact he was not fully human, and wasn't able to provide with his boyfriend- ex-boyfriend, with everything he deserved. He was unable to properly cry without malfunctioning, his body was hard and made of metal- almost always freezing due to that fact, he had no interesting stories, only useless factoids that were quite literally drilled into his head..
Kiibo was a robot at the end of the day, and the one mystery that man had wondered for decades is the fact that.. were they able to love?

Out of all his knowledge, Kiibo could never correctly define love at the time. Not it's emotional meaning, anyways. But reminiscing now, he finally understands.

Robots were able to love.
Or maybe it was just him.

Kiibo was in love with Ouma, that's why it was so hard to let him go.
But he understood. And it was pain that cut deeper than any of Miu's repairs. A physical one, that almost made him explode every time it entered his mind.

As long as his smaller companion was happy, that's all that mattered. What happened to the robot himself was far less important.
What Kiibo didn't comprehend at the time was just how much he longed for Ouma. He always had trouble expressing it, yes, but he truly tried his best. He overlooked the times Kokichi would say or do things to hurt him, and be the one to mend any conflict they had.

So why did Kokichi have to get bored?

..Why did Kokichi have to leave him?

That stupid smirk is forever burned into his photographic memory, as well as the soft feeling of a smaller hand in his own, or the feeling of warm lips litter his body.

Thrown away like the piece of scrap metal he was, Kiibo was forced to observe with a smile as Ouma now clung to Shuichi's arm, refusing to let him go as the two cuddled and showered one another in affection and kisses.

It always hurt so bad, but Kiibo assured to keep a smile on his face.
No one should worry about him! He was just a silly robot!

A silly robot who was still hopelessly in love with someone who would never truly love him back.
