"T-there's someone else like me?" Elsa whispered to no one in particular, slowly backtracking to the wall, where she just stood there, breathing heavily. She wasn't sure what to feel: relief or doubt. You are not alone. Those words were emblazoned on her mind. Who could it be?

Suddenly, the queen heared footsteps coming up the staircase. She jumped on her feet, alert. It couldn't be Anna; she and Kristoff had just left... who else would care to give her a visit?

'What if it's not a visit,' thought Elsa, horrified. 'What if it's a mob...?'

"Queen Elsa! Queen Elsa of Arendale!"

That voice sounded familiar. Elsa took a moment before she remembered. It was the boy who her sister decided to marry. She shuddered at that memory, but her sister's reckless thoughts were not the biggest things on her mind.

Prince Hans. But what was he doing here?

The footsteps got closer, and that was when the yong queen noticed that there were more than one pair of feet outside her door. Her sobs hitched in her throat and she backed away from the door, eyes wide in fright.

Thump! Thump! Elsa saw the silhouette of a log being pounded again and again on her fragile ice door. She tried to summon another spark of ice to seal the growing cracks, but somehow, her magic wasn't working.

Crrraaacck! It wasn't long before the door gave way and the log broke in, followed by the prince himself and several of his men. At first, Elsa wasn't sure whether or not he was here to coax her into returning or to capture her, but when she saw the spears and swords they gripped, she decided on the latter.

And her powers were still not working.

"Queen Elsa, you are to come back now," Prince Hans ordered her. "The Princess... she's... dead."

'He's lying,' thought Elsa firmly. "I don't believe you."

"You have to, Your Majesty. My men and I are here to bring you back. If you don't come now, we'll have to take you away by force," he said, more harshly this time.

"I... don't believe you! You loved by sister... you wouldn't lie to me!" she screamed, desperately trying to flick her wrists to produce any sort of weapon, but it was as if someone found the switch to her power and turned it off.

The Prince only sneered and motioned for his men to advance. "Well then, we'll have to take you by force."

Elsa backed away to the far wall, but that was as far as she could go. Behind her were the doors to the balcony, and her hands fumbled for the handle and yanked it down. She continued walking back until her spine was pressed against the cold ice railing.

The Prince just followed her, sword raised to pierce her heart. "This is going to be easier than I thought."

"No!" Elsa screamed, shut her eyes, and, finding no other way to escape, jumped off the balcony and towards the snow storeys below.
