She may seem really dumb, innocent and sweet but in reality she only acts that way to to make Heather Chandler happy. After she dies however, Heather. M starts to show her true personality just a bit more.
She very socially awkward and seems to not know how to express her emotions. Because of the way that she introduced herself to Heather. D and Heather. C, they believed that that was just her personality and she was questioned when she acted otherwise. So intern she never learned how to properly express herself.
After Heather. C dies and she starts to get closer to Veronica she began to realize that Veronica accepted people for who they truly were; this helped her open up not only to Veronica but Heather. D and eventually the whole school.
