Chapter 16: Educational experiences

Wow. Aphmau was so sweet and innocent, how could she possibly be one of the most wanted criminals in the world? Sam was really quiet and seemed nice, how could he possibly be one of the most wanted criminals in the world? How could they be the most wanted criminals in the world? I understand why Aph never told us and kept her identity a secret. What I don't understand is why she choose to live among people. I guess I will never find out.

Also, how is she going to tell the whole story to Travis and Laurence? Phone calls can be tracked and I don't think she is going to risk telling them in person. Why Travis and Laurence in particular? It kinda seems like she just chose the two of them randomly.

She had said that it was a long complicated story and that it wasn't their choice. However, everyone has a choice to do things. She also claimed that she and Sam hated hurting people, so why would they kill people? To add on from that, she said that if they didn't kill people that something worse could happen. What is worse than pretty much committing genocide?

I have heard of them before. Jess and Sam. Everyone says that they are really dangerous and really smart. However. Aph is pretty weak and Sam does not seem like the smart type. But, Aphmau was ready to shoot everyone here so..... what? The rest are probably as confused as I am but I guess all of our questions will be answered soon enough.

"What just happened?" Laurence asked to no one in particular. "I think Aphmau~Senpei just turned out to be the most dangerous criminal in the world," Kawaii~Chan said quietly as she stared at the floor beneath us. "So, what's the story?" Katelyn asked as she turned to Laurence and Travis. They both shrugged. "I have no idea what Aph was talking about," The white haired boy with defeat. He then suddenly smiled.

"I get it now," he said with a trace of realization in his voice. Everyone turned their attention to him. "Everybody may return to their houses, we are to interview everyone here tomorrow!" An officer said before beckoning everyone else. "Let's go to our house and I will explain," Travis said as he turned and began to walk to his home. Along with every body else, I was pretty confused but was quite intrigued. So we followed him.

"Firstly, I would like to say this is just an assumption that will justify Jess and Sam's actions," He said as soon as we were all in his living room. It was me, Laurence, Garroth, Travis, Dante, Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan, Emmerlyn, Kenmur, Nichole, Zane and Lucinda all in the room. "Also, I know very little about this subject," He said. I just noticed how formally he is talking. "I believe that Jess and Sam are, what they call, 'subjects of IT' " He said. I have no idea what that is. "I've heard of those, all I know is that there are only two in the world at this very moment, but the number can be anything from one to one hundred and twenty," Lucinda said.

"That is correct," A familiar voice said. We all turned to the door to see Aphmau/Jess. "I didn't think that they would put no security here, but I guess they are just really stupid," She said as she sat next to me on the couch. "Could you tell us more?" Emmerlyn asked uncertainly. I don't blame her. She could pretty much Kill us all if she really wanted. "Sure." She said before pausing.

"Travis was on the right track, but we are creations of IT. IT is a demon of some sought, who was locked away. IT makes creations that can range from people to animals. What they do is get things for IT so they are more like slaves. However, they are usually animals and this was the first time IT used humans. That was his major flaw because we can feel more complex emotions and know what is wrong and right, Sam and I did not want to do his bidding. However, IT threatened to destroy everything if we did not and IT almost succeeded last time. The only way to keep him put was by the dead but they had to be killed by us. If we did not then It would escape." She explained/ rambled. That makes some sought of sense.

"Why didn't you just take things instead of killing?" Kenmur asked as he looked up from his notepad, "It was what we took that made it worse," Aphmau said before taking a sip of the drink Dante had brought her. "Which is?" Zane asked. "People's life source," She said a little grimly. "Isn't killing and taking people's life source the same thing?" Travis asked. Aphmau just shook her head. "If I kill someone then they guard IT if I take someone's life source than it fuels IT," She explained. This makes a little more sense now. "But I have to kill them for that exact reason, if I kill someone out of anger or revenge then it becomes actual murder," She added. And I am confused again. "What?"

"Say for example somebody was pushing all the right buttons and I just killed them, that would be murder. However, if I didn't know someone but I needed another guard for IT and I killed them, then I would be killing them for that purpose alone." I guess that makes sense.

"Can I just ask you one more question?" Emmerlyn asked as she wrote down a few more words. "Sure." "How are you and Sam connected?" Aphmau paused to think for a moment. "We call it mind connect and all that is does is talk to the other person in mind," Aphmau said. "Could you show us?" Lucinda asked excitedly. I guess there isn't a lot of information on this so I see why they are excited. "What do you want to ask Sam?" She asked before taking another sip of her drink. "What he is doing at this very moment," Garroth suggested.

We all waited a second before Aphmau replied, "He is just chilling in a forest." She then took another sip of her drink. "We can also feel all the pain the other person feels, " Aphmau added. I think she predicted that someone was going to ask to show an example so she pulled up the sleeve of her right arm. She then sucked in a breath as fresh cut appeared. "That's why Sam and I have to get along because if he dies I die and then IT gets free," She said then turned to the clock.

"Oh, Travis say that Jess is waiting for Charlie when they talk to you," She instructed before rising from her seat. "I'll see you guys later," She said before exiting the house through the back door. Well, this experience has been ..... educational.
