Sam jogged to a stop as he caught his breath. He hated running yet he always seemed to be in a situation where he has to run for his life. Smiling to himself, he collapsed onto the forest floor. Despite his hate for exercise, he loved a good adrenaline rush. Being on the run always sparked something inside of him. It felt like a more dangerous game of hide and go seek.

The green grass felt soft against his rabbit ears. Although the experience was horrific, he loved his ears. Ever since he had gotten them his senses have been heightened and the world made more sense. Then again, it could have been the fact that he was older now, but he liked to think that it was because of his ears.

'What ya doing?' He heard Aphmau ask in a high pitched sing-song voice. He groaned as he rolled over. Her high pitched voice always pained him but he couldn't just cover his ears. 'Rolling around in the grass!" He said excitedly as he turned once again. He heard his raven haired friend giggle before all was silent again.

He sat up, narrowly missing a low tree branch. Now he was bored. He knew that this was not good but he didn't know what to do. All he could think of was to get Grian and Tautis but he knew he had to stay with in pain radius. Also, they probably had his photo and he didn't want to chance it. So he did the only thing he could think of.

The boy reached over to his right to grab a bundle of flowers. It had been a while since Aph had shown him how to do this but he was willing to try. He then pulled a long piece of grass. He tried to make a flower crown but instead, his finished product was an abnormally long piece of grass piercing a buttercup.

He threw it against a tree and sighed in frustration. He never understood why it was so difficult and how Aphmau managed to do it with such ease. He then decided to do the second thing he could think of. Find a fresh water source.

Sam stood up and realized that he should have found the thing key to his survival than making crowns out of flowers and grass. The only thing he could do was wander around blindly until he eventually stumbled upon some fresh water.

'Cut on the right arm,' He heard his friend demanded. 'What?' he asked as he almost walked into an old oak tree. 'I am showing my friends how this whole thing works.' She explained. Sam rolled his eyes. He knew Aph wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but he never thought that she would be as dumb as to talk to her friends and tell them about the connection. Despite thinking this was a bad idea, he picked up a small rock and grazed it gently across his arm. He didn't want to hurt her too bad, or himself.

He then threw the pebble just above his head and then kicked it into a bush. For the short time, he was back with Aph and her friends he forgot what it was like to be alone. Now here he was, on his own, in the middle of a forest.

'What's your plan?' He asked Aphmau as he started to observe the tree's around him. ' I was going to chill with a friend until the heat dies down,' Aphmau said uncertainly. Sam silently face palmed. He had always had trust issues and he never involved any one with his problems.

To him, it seemed like Aph didn't care what she did as long as IT was safely locked away. Sam believed that dragging others into this was wrong. They may be connected, but he never understood Aphmau's logic. She was willing to drag her friend into this and she had no problem with it. Well, to Sam anyway.

Aphmau, however, knew what she was doing. She was going to a person she almost trusted as much as Sam. Almost. Castor, a.k.a The Chicken Shamen. She knew that he would welcome her with open arms. Even better he knew everything. He understood why Aphmau would need to stay there. Also, he had a secret part in his basement.

The raven haired girl really wanted to bring Sam along but she knew he wouldn't approve. She also knew that he would be much more useful in an area with little to no people. He was much more introverted than she was and more anti-social.

Aphmau tested the handle of his back door. Locked. She could have gone through the front door but she would probably get caught going into his house and she didn't want to drag Castor too deep into this. She silently apologized before punching the window. She quickly slipped in without cutting herself with the extra shards.

She locked around to see a few chickens resting on random things. A small chicken was sitting on a lamp shade clucking at the top of its lungs. "I'm coming, I'm coming, shut up Eggward!" She heard a familiar voice shout. Castor gently picked up the noisy chicken and stroked its head. "Hello to you too!" Aphmau called to her chicken crazy friend. "Aph?" he asked uncertainly as he spun around. "The one and only!" She said with slight jazz hands. "What do you want?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes and slowly lowered the chicken that was nestled in his arms. "Castor, I need your help."
