Chapter 5: Pranks

Four days. It took four days before weird stuff started to happen at our house.

My mom was down stairs cooking in the kitchen when suddenly the faucet started to run by itself. It took one hour for it to stop. The next day at 7 pm the electricity went off and on for about an hour. And in the morning the flush in the basements bathroom didn't work.

Rose thought that we bought a haunted house. I knew exactly who was up to this.

Why would Jake do this. I don't know. How do I know it's him. Because I have a feeling he did it.

"Why's are house acting all weird?" Rose asked Angela.

"Someone's pulling a prank on us." She answered. She looked at me standing at the door way and asked, "So, who is it?"

"What makes you think that I know?" I shot back at her.

She raised her eyebrows and said, "Really?"

"Jake." I replied simply

"Jake? No way. How? Why?" She asked surprised.

"Jake turns out to be smart, and the house is empty for most of the time. It isn't that hard to mess with electricity. As for why, i don't know." I replied as my face got red.

"Never thought I'd hear you say that." Rose stated and I glared at her.

"Oh my god! What if it's because he wants to get my attention? Maybe he likes me." Angela squeaked

"I'm out." I said quickly while rolling my eyes.

"Well, it explains why you don't know why he's doing this and we all know you know nothing about love."

"Love." I snort, "Just don't get your hopes up." I said walking out of the room and into mine.

Was Angela right. Is he doing this to get her attention. Why would he go through all this trouble just to show his admiration for her. And what about all the consequences that could follow his actions. I know for sure he must of thought of that.

Maybe, he pulled these pranks because of the consequences that could have led to us moving. But what makes him hate us so much that he'll want us to move. Wasn't it a couple of days ago he was following me around.

I was sitting on my bed when I heard a know on my door, "Come in." I called out.

The door opened and Angela stepped in, "I decided that we should pull something on Jake to get him back but- "

"But you don't know what to do so you came here to ask me for help." I finished off for her.

"Exactly." She replied.

"Angela you know I don't like doing dirty work." I exclaimed.

"Oh come I know you want to get back at him even more than I do." She said.

"I really don't." I spoke seriously.

"Just give me an idea you don't even have to be a part of it." She begged.

"Coming up with the idea means that I'm a big part of it actually." I fight back. I look at the disapproval face that she has on and sigh, "Fine."

She starts to squeal and I cover my ears, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you." She exclaims.

"But only this once." I state as she leaves the room.

"I have an idea." I stated as I walked into Angela's room the next day.

"I knew you would." Angela exclaimed with a smile stuck on her face.

"Well, first of all, we only mess with him not his mom. After all, he's the one messing with us. So I thought lets do something with his room." I said.

"What are we going to do?" She asked, "Hide his clothes."

"No." I smirked, "we're, I'm mean you're going to go for something a lot more personal."

Angela's eyes lit up, "ooh, we're, sorry, I'm going to hack his computer."

"No!" I exclaimed, "Why would you want to do that anyways." I looked at her confused, "You're going to mess with his bed."

"That's perfect. I have so many ideas that I could do. I could fill his bed with spiders and water, oh that would be great. I could also mess with legs of the bed so that when he sleeps on it he'll go down." She spoke rapidly as a smirk grew on his face, "And just imagine how sexy he'd look in the morning. Now, that's a sight I want to see." She said as I groaned. "Oh come on you know that you'd like to see that as well."

"No I wouldn't." I replied firmly leaving her room."
