"So, What's he like?" Evan asked his mother the next morning. It was only 8:00, yet he could already tell something was off. Heidi was definitely acting weird.
"Charming... nice... funny..." Heidi let out a little giggle. She felt like a teenager again. No boy had ever made her feel this way, not even her ex husband! Paul was the only one on her mind.  Evan raised a brow at her before shrugging. He had never seen her like this. He didn't know if he had ever heard her giggle. "Anyways, Have a nice day, sweetie!" Heidi gave her son a big hug. "Love you!!" And with that, she left for work.
Evan shook his head, a little weirded out by his mother's weird mood. A minute passed before he heard the familiar bip bip of his phone.  He looked down and saw a text from Con <3 saying: Hey, You free?
Yeah? Evan texted back Why?
Can I come over? Sister is rehearsing lines.
Yeah! Yes! Of course! Evan didn't have to think before responding. He texted back just two minutes later saying: Sorry. That sounded stupid.
He only got a short reply later that said On my way. Stop apologizing so much.
A small smile grew on Evan's face. Connor Murphy, his boyfriend, was coming over to spend time with him. Sure, they had only been dating for about a week, but Evan felt like he was in love. Connor made him so happy. But, they had to keep their relationship a secret. Neither of them were exactly out yet. Connor wasn't sure how his parents would react. And Evan... well... he was too nervous to even bring his bisexuality up to his mother. So, the two boys would have to save the kissing and hand holding for when they were alone.
About ten minutes later, Evan heard a knock on his door. He sprinted as fast as he could and opened the door. The tall, long-haired boy behind his door laughed at his eagerness. He could see him running through the window. "Happy to see me?"
A blush formed on Evan's face, a smile soon following. "Yeah- Come on in-" He moved out of the way so Connor could step inside of his home.
Connor laughed and grabbed his boyfriend's hand, leading him to the couch. "I've missed you." He whispered, pressing a kiss to Evan's cheek before sitting down.
Evan blushed scarlet before sitting beside him. He could feel his heart beating out of his chest. He was too afraid to move, or speak or do anything.
This was something that Connor noticed. The teen cupped Evan's face and gently said, "Hey. Everything is fine. You're with me. No need to be nervous."
Evan's heart seemed to melt at Connor's words. All he did was lean in to close the space between them and let their lips meet.
