Uriah wraps his arm around me, I try to stand but he holds me in place. I'm too shocked to fight him.

"Just listen to what he has to say," he tells me, "Don't jump to any conclusions yet, he might not have known nothing about it." I try to let his words comfort my as I wipe the sweat from my hands.

"Which faction are you a member of?" She is calm and collected, so his Caleb considering his current position.

"Erudite"

"But you were originally from Abnegation, is that correct?"

"Yes, I am a transfer," and a traitor I think,

"Were you aware of the Erudite plans to attack your former faction?"

I"Yes."

"Were you involved in the plans"

"Yes." Uriah tightens his grip on me as I try to squirm free. I'm going to kill the traitor. How could he do that? How could he help to plan to kill mom and dad?

"How were you involved in the plans?"

"My sister told me to look into the simulations..." the woman cuts him of

"What is your sisters name and faction?"

"I believe she goes by the name Tris now, Tris Prior of Dauntless." How dare he bring me into this? First he helps to plan the murder of our parents then he blames me. I'm going to kill him. I bury my head in my hands, Uriah keeps his arm firmly around me the whole time.

"Okay, sorry for interrupting I'll ask again, how we're you involved in the plans to attack Abnegation?"

"Tris told me to look into the simulations, I found out what they were doing and tried to stop it." Confusion wrinkles his interviewer's eyebrows.

"How did you try to stop it?"

"I changed the trackers. I said I was developing them to give them a longer range, I made a sample that did and sent that for testing, then made the rest of them so they would deactivate the second they entered your blood stream." He looks lighter, now that he had finished telling his story and I realise why, if he was asked the wrong questions he would not have been able to tell them this, he would have been convicted in the same way as the rest of them. But he isn't a traitor. He is a hero and I hate myself for doubting him.

"I told you." Uriah says, squeezing my shoulder slightly, I giggle with relief. His interviewer seems confused and unsure of how to proceed.

"So you stopped the attack from taking place?"

"Yes." Everyone who was still paying attention cheers. Caleb is a hero. I need to see him.

I jump up a bit too enthusiastically.

"Tris... Tris... Tris... can you hear me?"

"Is she bleeding?"

"Oh my God! Is she okay?"

"Don't worry Tris you'll be fine!"

"Can you hear me Tris?"

I'm still falling. There is no ground bellow me. No people. Only black. I feel it pile on top of me as I fall. It gets heavier. I try to shake it off but end up falling deeper. Occasionally voices reach me. Most of them are broken now. Muffled and distorted by the black that surrounds me.

"Tris. Wake up please."

"Tris they are going to operate..."

"Tris, it's all going to be okay. Just don't leave me."
