Hakori and Niusha stood glaring at the kraken, as Lincon kept it inside a protective bubble so it couldn't attack the ship.
They all had stern faces on, that matched their epic attire.
“I'll attack first.” Hakori stated, stepping up on the edge of the ship.
“I've got your back.” Lincon replied, breaking the bubble around the beast so that Hakori could attack.
Hakori stretched her pearl white wings as far as she could and perfected her stance by spreading her legs apart. She bended her knees and sprung herself into a long jump. Then, she let her wings takeover and flew upwards like a rocket until she was square with the beast's face.
The kraken roared but, Hakori didn't even do so much as flinch. She tilted her head forward and shut her eyes tightly. All of a sudden flames awoke on her sword and armour, then finally her wings. The bright white colour was replaced by aggressive flames.
Awsome.
She pointed her enormous, flaming sword forward and flew straight for the monsters head. The kraken whipped all it's tentacles towards her. She forced a stop, attempting to back up.
One of the tentacles managed to twist around her. Hakori screamed in pain as the kraken tightened it's grip. Hakori yelled once more, this time her flames rose up, seemingly burning the tentacle and forcing the monster let go.
Lincon quickly bubbled her before the kraken could grab her again. Hakori turned her head to Lincon.
“Lincon, I can do this myself!” She screamed in anger. Lincon turned his head to Liam in hopes of an objection, but Liam stayed silent as he glared at the kraken.
“Fine.” Lincon muttered, sighing in irritation. He un-bubbled Hakori hesitantly.
Hakori flew straight to the kraken again without a second thought. She swung her sword at the kraken. Her sword began to carve through it’s head. The beast forced it's mouth open and Hakori’s sword fell into it along with her arm.
Hakori’s eyes widened in panic as the kraken bit down on her arm. Blood gushed out of her arm and dribbled down into the water.
“No!” I screamed feeling helpless.
“Dammit!” Liam exclaimed, his eyebrows furrowed together.
Everyone froze in shock as an arrow flung over the ship and straight into one of the kraken’s eyes.
The beast roared, letting Hakori and her sword go. Hakori forced her wings to fly back to the ship. She sheathed her sword and cradled her wounded arm. When she got to the ship she let herself fall to the floor.
I attempted to run towards her but, Liam spread his arm out in protest.
“It's to dangerous, we have to stay back until Lincon bubbles it.” He said with pleading eyes. He seemed calm for someone who was close to losing such a strong crew member.
He turned his head to Niusha, who was kneeling next to Hakori. “Niusha can heal wounds, she’ll be fine.” Liam informed me.
“Okay.” I sighed in relief.
Lincon once again bubbled the beast and I followed Liam as he walked over to him.
“Lincon, Hakori’s to proud to admit it, but she can't do this alone. Here's the plan; you surround the kraken with your water bending. Then, Hakori will come from above and slice it down the middle.” Liam said confidently. Lincon nodded in agreement.
