Making it through the first week of school means that everyone is completely exhausted by the middle of the week. I zombied towards my locker with one eye half open, something very common on my side.

"Who the heck created the schools time schedule?" I huffed as I made sure to glare at everyone that tried to give me the usual hello. I'm honestly in a bad mood this morning.

"Good morning sunshine!" Was the cheerful greeting Jonny gave me as he was leaning against my locker, his arms crossed on his chest. I didn't reply just let out a big yawn without bothering to put a hand in front of my mouth.

"Aww you're so cute when you're sleepy Babygirl." He mocked me puffing his cheeks out. Again I didn't reply.

"Yeah, cute as a butthol- button. Sorry." Anna came up behind me with a smug face making Jonny crack at her joke. I rolled my eyes at the both of them. How could they be like this this early in the morning? My brains still partially asleep.

"I barely got any sleep last night because of that freaking pizza. I ate so much and it just wouldn't surrender to the acids of my stomach." I complained with a hand on my stomach. My statement, although a very valid complain on my side made then laugh. It was enough to make Anna start making fun about how my acids needed some kind of lighter to start the fire inside me or whatever she was saying. I seemed to be the one not getting it though since Jonny kept high fiving her while I stood there like an idiot.

"Hey Jon, come on dude!" Jason, the school's basketball team captain, yelled at Jonny from across the hall.

"Well that's my cue to leave." Jonny said with a hint of amusement still evident in his voice from laughing. He gave me a light peck on the cheek and Anna the usual bye "I'll see you guys later" With that he left towards his captain.

"Oh hey I totally forgot but weren't you supposed to have dinner with Dans parents? Taking it to the next level and all of that..." My voice fell at the end of the sentence seeing her face drop.

"Yeah were, it was cancelled due to his parents having to do something out of town until, at least, the weekend." She replied looking at the ground.

"Well that sucks but you'll rearrange right?" This time she met my eyes in a second and I could see the worry in them just as fast.

"That's not what's worrying me Reach, it's just the he hasn't let me come to his house these past two days even though his house is supposed to be empty and what I suspect is his parents actually being there and him hiding that fact and maybe he doesn't want me to meet them anymore and he had regretted ever inviting me to meet them." Anna blew up on me all at once. How could she say all that with one breath? Fascinating! I laughed at the joke in my head and then quickly regained composure. I mean she's a nervous wreck and I'm laughing, what a friend I am.

"Or maybe he has other reasons and his parents are really out of town. Much do about nothing." I assured her.

She rolled her eyes at my Shakespeare remark. "Just the right time for Shakespeare Reach, good job." She made a perfect gesture with her hand but I could still see the uneasiness in her. The bell rang and I ignored it.

"Look, don't jump into conclusions too quickly and if you're really worried then you should just talk to Dan about it. I'm 100% sure he'll understand."
Anna nodded and just gave me a thumbs up before disappearing into the crowd.

As expected, Xander's delay for homeroom made Mr. Michael frown and give him a warning. As he was getting to his seat he strolled past mine without even glancing my way. I couldn't help but bring back the memories of last night. The hateful glare, the clenched in anger jaw...the hurt that went through me. I shook my head and pinned my eyes on Mr. Michael.
