We were all sitting in Grayson lounge. It was Sunday and everyone was present in the house.
'Wow,you finally man up Desmond. Am proud of you.' Kaynat exclaimed.
Mother signal her to keep quite.
'Thanks for coming Desmond. I love my daughter very much and I will always want her to be happy. If she chooses to be with you, am perfectly OK with it.'

'Mother i love Desmond and I know he would treat me right.'
'Your welfare is very important to me. I know you are a good man Desmond please take care of my baby.'
'I will always support your union Kendra and I also want what is best for you.' Grayson said
'Thanks Grayson, i appreciate all your effort and for being there for my Mom.'
'Thanks' Desmond shook hands with him.
'Congratulation Kendra. Am glad you find love. Real one this time.' Kamal hug me lightly after his statement.
'Congrats Ken. May you always be happy.' Kaynat said
'Welcome to the family Desmond. May you be happy too.' She directed the last sentences to him.
Clearing his throat, Grayson held Mom's hand.
'I also have an announcement to make. Since it a merry moment why don't I make it more merrier. I asked your mother to marry me, and she agreed. So we asking for you guys consent to carrying on with it.'
'Oh my God! This is a great news. Am so happy for you both. Congrats.'
'Congrats, so when is the wedding.' Kamal asked.
'We haven't fix the date, but it a small wedding. I don't want something extravagant.' Mom replied.
'Congrats.... I was starting to wonder if men takes so long before asking a woman to marry him.'
'Your long speech is not needed Kaynat. Just be happy and that's all.'
'Freedom of press Kamal. Because you are a man doesn't mean I shouldn't voice my opinion.'
My siblings have started again.
'Sometime we have to be sure before taking such an important step.' Grayson told her.
'You right, but when I eventually entered into a serious relationship and after five month if he hasn't propose I will take the bull by it horn and do the proposing.'
'He will think you are desperate?' Desmond chipped in.
'He should know me better since we have been together for five month.'
'It might be that he still need time to figure out some things.'
'Then why be in a relationship when he is not ready. After all be in a relationship when you are ready not when you are lonely.'
'Desmond do yourself the favour of not arguing with Kaynat. She would him give up.' Mother warned him.
'Am patiently waiting for the day Kaynat will bring a man she wants to marry. Then I will be the one doing all the lecturing.' Kamal uttered
'My future partner will be more handsome than you.'
'No man on this planet is more handsome than my king.' Mom told her.
'Say that again mother. She need to hear it often.'
'Not even me?' Grayson asked.
Mom look away shyly and we burst into laughter.
