Desmond POV

It been almost 2hours since we took her into the emergency  ward and the doctor haven't said anything about her health status.
I volunteer to assist since am a doctor myself and this my specialty but every hospital have their rules so I wasn't allowed.

Immediately we brought her to the hospital, I called her family to alert them the situation going on.

I don't know what I feel for Kendra, the first time I saw her two years ago I feel we had a connection that I can't explain. Ever since then have been trying to have a conversation with her but things always happen. The day I decided to act like a man, I got her home address from the hospital file. Reaching, I was told they have moved out of that vicinity.

I really felt bad knowing she was married. I don't know if it jealousy or anger I experienced that day,I went home disorganized.

She is an egg, a precious one at that, I wonder why she will end up with someone so violent to the extent of almost killing his wife.
One is met to treasure a Lady because she is God's beautiful gift and not disrespect her like some trash.

I felt a tap on my back, raising my head up, I stare at the red eyed woman, who I presume to be crying for a very long time.

'Take a sit ma', I adjusted creating a space for her to sit.

'Thanks Doctor.'

'Just call me Desmond ma.'

'Thank you Desmond, I wonder what I would have happen if you weren't there to protect my baby. Am very grateful.'
She was using the tissue to clean her dampen face.

'You don't need to thank me ma'am, I did what I think is best by following my instinct.'

'Do you think my baby will be OK? Our life won't be the same if anything happen to my baby. Please tell me she will be fine.'

She was trying so hard not to cry but the tears kept falling freely.
The tears of a mother who can't bear to see her child in pain.

I try to convince myself she will be alright, but the chances are fair.

'She will be fine ma, I promise.'

Putting her head on my shoulder, I patted her back as we waited for the doctor to leave the emergency ward.

'Do you think your sister is still with Kaynat, I don't want her complicating the situation any further.' She asked

'Yes, I they went to the cafeteria to get some food.
What of Mr. Grayson, I don't see him any where around here.'

'He is talking to  the police officer, they caught Kendrol before he could escape.'

That bastard deserve to rot in hell. But the decision is left for Kendra to make.

The emergency room door open, we stood up immediately to see the doctor.

'Her health is stable now, you can go see her, but she will be asleep for a while.'

'Thank you so much doctor.'

'You welcome ma'am.
Doctor Desmond can I please see you in my office?.'
She said with  smile.
