I tossed and turned but couldn't fall asleep. Looking at the clock, the time was 4:45 am. I left Alice's dorm at 11. Giving up on trying to sleep, I sat up and turned my lamp on. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and groaned. This wasn't the first night i didn't sleep. I was used to it but it still sucked.

Deciding to go to Starbucks for coffee I slipped into a pair of shorts and a shirt. The starbucks on campus should be opening any minute so I'm going to stop by. I left my dorm and headed across campus to the liberal arts building where starbucks was. "Hey nerd." A voice called from behind me but I chose to ignore it. Mainly because I didn't have the energy to deal with whoever it was. I didn't care.

"Hey. I'm talking to you." The voice called again and a hand gripped my shoulder. "Leave me alone. I'm just getting starbucks." I mumbled and wiggled free of the hand and kept walking. "Oh come on. We're just wanting to hang out. Or are you too busy doing errands for your freak of a girlfriend?"

I then turned around and swung my fist. It connected with a face. "DON'T DARE TALK ABOUT MY PARTNER THAT WAY!" I yelled at the body laying on the ground. Two people grabbed my arms and I tried getting free. "Fiesty are we?" The guy laughed as he got up.

He grabbed me by the collar and got close. "She's a freak. Just like you. Don't you get that? You both weren't wanted here because of being freaks. Good thing you guys are graduating."

He punched me in the face until I blacked out.
