Author: @kirst_rovers12
Genre: Vampire
First (and technically last) Impressions: ok, we've got an absolute clusterf**k on our hands. The plot of this book is, um, let's just say not explained very well. So there's a vampire baby, and a dude that is her guardian. Ok this plot is not even close to developed and is obviously needed some more time in the oven. However the pacing is very good this time around, but barely anything is explained in the first chapter, meaning I can't say what I make of it. And since there's only one chapter up, the plot will stay that way. Now I did say earlier that the pacing was very solid. If you'll note back to my Death Date review, witch was written by the same author, you'll note that one of my biggest complaints was the absolute lack of punctuation and pacing. I think this book does pacing really solidly, minus the ending paragraph, that kinda threw that out the window. But aside from the pacing, this book is terrifically mediocre, the plot is all over the place, and there's not much else to say but...Grading: FAIL
The pacing alone is much better than this, but the rest of the book is an absolute mashup that feels half baked, and a bit rushed. I do think this book is decent with the idea, but in execution, not so much. I can recommend this book, and encourage anyone to check it out, but aside from that, we need to talk.I can't keep running this book without submissions, and this was the first in a very long time (about 5 months, if I'm correct.) and I really feel like it's unfair to only review one author, regardless of quality. If you have any submissions, I request that you head over to the first chapter. You'll get some free reads, a vote, and maybe even a new follower or a few if you enter. Who even knows. So head on over to the first chapter to submit your book today! (Or later. I'm an author, not a cop.)
