I look over to see Clove staring at her phone, jaw dropped. The surprise was clear.
"What is it Clove?" I ask.
"He called you 'stunning'! How are you not freaking out?!" She exclaims, her eyes wild.
"Because he's just another human being. Calm down Clove," I say, lightly laughing.
"Just another human being?!?!" She screams, her eye twitching.
I quickly reach for a pillow to use as a shield for when she blows up.
"THE ONLY HUMAN BEING HOTTER THAN HIM IS JACK AVERY!!!" Shouts Clove, her face a full blown tomato red by now.
Her mom walks in the room as I shout, "She's about to blow!"
I dive behind the couch and put the pillow on the back of my head. I hear a loud scream and a pillow hits the wall.
"Okay!" She chirps, signaling that it's fine for me to get up.
"Why am I still friends with you?" I chuckle.
"I don't know, must be my awesomeness," she says and flips her hair.
I laugh and reply, "Probably not."
"Excuse me what?" She asks, putting her hands on her hips.
"I mean, you're too crazy for anyone to see the awesomeness that lies within. Well, anyone but me," I clarify.
"Probably," she says before splaying her arms out and falling back on the couch.
I look back at my phone to see a text.
Unknown number: hey, it's me. Daniel
Alex: hey Daniel
You changed the contact's name to "Danny boy."
Danny Boy: so wassup
Alex: nothing, just trying to calm Clove down from your comment. You just had to do that didn't ya?
Danny Boy: I must acknowledge Beauty where it is
Alex: aww, thanks. But I can't say the same thing
Danny Boy: hey!
Alex: im just kidding!
Danny Boy: you hurt my feelings
Alex: do you want a kiss to make it better?
Danny Boy: yes!
Alex: ask one of your bandmates
Danny Boy: but I want it from you!
Alex: well then you're out of luck
Danny Boy: ☹️
Alex: 😊
Danny Boy: hey is this the girl Daniel's been talking about?
Alex: yup, which bandmate is this?
Danny Boy: Jack, anyways Daniel's chasing me
Alex: wait, Jack Avery? Clove is gonna freak out
Danny Boy: what did he say?
Alex: nothing really, but I have to go now. She's gonna freak! 😄
Danny Boy: aww, ok bye 😢
Alex: don't miss me too much!
Danny Boy: no promises
Alex: clingy much?
Danny Boy: nononono 😱

"Hey Clove, I just talked to Jack Avery," I smirk.
"What?!" She squeals.
"Yup," I say, showing her my phone.
"Yayayayay! Now I can go meet them!" She screams and dances around the room.
"Okay, another project for another day," I say.
"Okay, tomorrow then?" She asks.
"Sure," I answer before she shouts in happiness.
When they meet, chapters will be longer because it's kinda hard for me to write long chapters with mostly text and/or instagram.
