so like, I just came up with a theory that maybe Pidge is so sassy because that's just a defense mechanism that she developed over time since she's really short.

                          
I feel like while fighting Galra or something, she'd repeatedly roast them or sass them out until the enemy she's fighting with gets offended and she strikes and takes them out.
