Surprise and Delight~

*Adrien's POV*

My day starts out the same every day. Nathalie comes in to wake me up and read me my schedule, I eat a small breakfast and get ready, hop in the limo and head to school. My mornings are average, but I kinda like it that way to be honest. Ha, fooled you! Day and night, as a superhero I must always be ready to drop everything to save the citizens of Paris. Some of my mornings go like what I just said though, but not all the time...

Today when I arrived at school, I sat down in homeroom next to my friend Nino.

"Finally on time I see.", he smirks sarcastically.

I chuckle a bit and turn around to see Alya, but no sign of Marinette. Not that it's unusual that Marinette wasn't early to school, but it was coming close to the beginning class.

About 20 minutes into class, Marinette rushes into the room. The excuse she gave to the teacher made me smile. I think it's very sweet that she took time out of her day to help her father, even if it meant being late to class.

As class went on, I daydreamed a bit thinking about the epic fight that went down the night before. Ladybug and I, Chat Noir, had come face to face with a skull DJ themed Akuma who called herself the Grim Reepa, who was similar to the Bubbler except her attack were literal sound clouds that could blast your hearing out. Eventually I was hit with one and could barely communicate with M'lady. Once she used Lucky Charm, then appeared some hearing aids. She tossed them to me and we defeated the half dead DJ.

"You were paws-itively meow-velous out there, Bugaboo", I had said.

Ladybug did roll her eyes at my joke, but I knew she secretly adored my puns.~ We talked a little afterwards but things got a little intense when---

I snap back to reality as Nino shakes my shoulder roughly.

"Dude we gotta go!", he exclaims as I realize everyone is jumping out of their seats to run.

Even though I didn't experience the sight of what had happened, I could tell there was an Akuma on the loose. I ran out the door and intentionally separated from the rest of the class. I ran around a corner and was about to turn another when I saw Marinette a few yards in front of me. I was about to call after her, but the minute she turned the corner, she started talking to someone. When I caught glimpse of who, rather what, she was talking to, I couldn't believe my eyes. Beside Marinette was a floating red object with black polka-dots. I almost fainted at what happened next. Marinette called out to the object, -who by the sound of it was named Tikki- and with that was surrounded by pink sparkles. Within seconds, Marinette was no longer Marinette, she was Ladybug. As the red and black superheroine jumps out the window, I can only gawk at what I had just witnessed.

Marinette was Ladybug. Ladybug was Marinette. The love of my life has been sitting behind me in class for almost a year now and I didn't notice. I didn't notice that one of my bestfriends was also beside me fighting crime. "I have to tell her.", I thought to myself. I have to tell her I'm--

"Hey are you gonna transform or what?", Plagg cuts into my thoughts.

"Oh right", I realize I still had to join the girl who filled my thoughts.

I transform and follow the path my partner had just went through to catch up to the villain we were up against today. I hope I get to tell her. She deserves to know.
