Unwanted Pests

*Ladybug's POV*

I zip through the air following the trail of the giant bug and its owner. As I stop to catch my breath and map out an idea of how to defeat the Akuma, another unwanted bug exclaims into my ear.

"Hey bugaboo,  what claw-ver thoughts are going on in that purr-ty brain of yours?", Chat Noir says with delight as though his puns were helping anyone.

"Chat, less talking more planning.", I groan, trying to focus on a way to stop the other pest on the loose.

The cat boy seemed to be extra amused for some reason, and I had no idea why. At this point it didn't matter. We needed to stop the Akuma before it did anymore damage to the city. Plus, I needed to get back to school ASAP. As I thought to myself, Chat Noir had already jumped ahead, so I caught up with him as we followed the destruction the oversized insect had left in its path.

The Akumatized citizen was an entomologist. He was fired when one of the test subjects had escaped on his watch. His attack was literal 'human repellent'. Oddly enough, it didn't work on me.

"Maybe it's be-claws you're a bug themed hero?", Chat questions.

"This is hardly the time for puns you dumb cat!", I face-palm and use Lucky Charm. I use it and hop onto the beetle to get closer to today's villain of the day. I see that apparently his name is 'Dr. Roach'. Yeah that's not cliché at all...

I return everything back to normal after breaking a hand lens Chat had found in the defeated scientist's pocket. As we fist bump and I'm about to take my leave, Chat stops me, grabs me by the hand and turns me to face him.

"M'lady I have something I need to tell you."

As Chats says this, last night's conversation races through my mind. As I'm about to reply his final words from last night race through my mind and I stop myself.

"Sorry Chaton, maybe next time!", I wave as I zip through the air and out of sight. Once I find a spot to where nobody can see me, my transformation wears off and Tikki comes flying out only to fall into my hand.

*Marinette's POV*

"Oh Tikki, here you are.", I say as I hand her a cookie. She munches on it while I walk back to school only to find Chat Noir to jump right in front of me.

"Hello Purrincess~", he says with a sweet tone.

"What gives me the honor of a visit from the  Chat Noir?", I ask sarcastically, trying to walk around him.

"Nothing special..Where ya goin?", he asks in a childish manner.

"Chat if this isn't important I'll be going.", I say blankly once again failing to get past the leather plastered boy.

He sighs and says, "Hmm...Maybe later then. See ya Mari~"

As the black cat jumps away, my eyes follow his trail. "What is up with him?!", I think to myself. I go on my way, and then back into the school. Barely anyone is there except for a few of my classmates, thankfully not including Alya. I can tell the rest of the school day was cancelled so I head back out the exit. See that's what I thought would happen, but the minute I turn around, my eyes are met by the bright emerald eyes of Adrien Agreste.
