*Adrien's POV*

What have I done?! Marinette looked like she was about to faint by how pale she was turning.  I could feel that my face was burning up and all I could do was stare at the bewildered girl in front of me. Once I got ahold of myself to at least move out of the position I was in, all I could do was point back to her parents' bakery. The minute she caught attention as to where I was directing her to, we silently walked there. We walked through the door and her parents greeted us with sweets. Before I knew it I was sitting in Marinette's room with a croissant in hand.

As I sat on her bed, everything came rushing into my mind. How nervous I was, her reaction to all this, her response to my confession, EVERYTHING. The only thing that made me less flustered at the moment was that Marinette looked just as anxious as I did. She looked so pretty when she was deep in thought. Ugh! That's beside the point! I have to tell her! As I thought to myself, so did she, and I decided this was my chance.

"I need to tell you something.", I said with as much confidence I could at the time with how high-strung I was at the moment. She looked up at me and our eyes met. I looked into her bluebell eyes. I couldn't stop staring at the bluenette facing me. How was I gonna tell her with all this pressure built up inside of me?

"Adrien, are you okay?",  she sounded really worried, which made me even tenser than I already was.

 "Fine, I'm totally fine."

"Okay, what were you going to tell me then?"

"Oh, I...um...Marinette I have a secret that you have to know.", I noticed how much I had stuttered, and wanted to facepalm. It took a few seconds but the words finally escaped my mouth.

"I know you're Ladybu--"

A humungous explosion came from across the street. Of course, there's an Akuma, especially at a time like this right? This is what I get for being such an unlucky black cat. I knew we both had to go help the citizens outside, but I couldn't help regretting this whole situation.

"Uh, Adrien I'll be right back..."

She interrupted my thoughts so it took me a second to process, and once I did, all I could do was gesture her off with a nod. I was so disappointed in myself. I transformed with no emotion and jumped off her balcony.

I'm sorry Marinette.
