Chapter VI
-Incident at Cinnabar Isle-
That night was a hard choice. I sat beside the beach, with Scar and Roll-er out of their Pokeball. It seems that nature had done me something good, I wanted to stay outside, and watch the moon.
Going home was my best option, but when I do. I’m going back to the same boring life I’d lead. Getting bullied by strong ones, each time seeing Shiira and Gavine. I was stupid, as Jusin suggest. But if I don’t go home, mom and Missa would forever know I’m dead. Like dad.
Maybe dad had the same choice as I did. He wanted to become a better trainer that’s why. No. Dad died because of a thunderstorm, it hit his ship, and he went missing, and presumably died at sea. Or maybe… he had this same decision as I have now. Leaving home. But it is impossible, how could he resist us. Mom, me and Missa.
I realized, that I have to go home.
I was weak, constantly eating only berries. But it would be a long walk, and its night. I couldn’t risk it. Instead, I started a fire and cooked more berries.
Then I slept…
I came home with my new badge, a recognition given to us by teachers when we perfect test, quizzes, etc. This time I perfected Pokemon Science. I matched the right type combination of the given Pokemons. I would be proud to show this to mom.
I went out of the furret bus and run home. I opened the door, trying to find mom. I opened baby Missa’s room, where she was asleep on her crib. I opened my room to see if she was cleaning, all I saw was a sleep talking Roll. I opened mom and dad’s room to see if she’s there but it is empty.
“Mom!” I giggled in delight. Sol came floating by. “Hey Sol!” I called, “Have you seen mom?”
He kept his quite but floated outside. I followed him to the back yard.
“Mom?”
I heard a soft weeping. A muffled cry.
I saw her, outside, in the sand box.
“Are you playing without me mom?” I saw, “You’re too young to play on the dandbox!”
She was sniveling. Tears coming down her eyes.
“Mom? Are you crying?”
Mom saw me and wiped her watery eyes, “Revel…”
“Mom?” I approached her. She grabbed me and gave me a tight hug. “Oh Revel!”
I squirmed from her grasp, and looked at her closed, crying eyes. “What is it? Did we win something at the mart? Mom!”
“Revel… Your dad…”
I gasped, “Is he back? Did he bring me Hoenn Pokemon?”
“No… He’s… not coming back.”
My small mind processed her words, “Where is he?”
“He… your father…” She sniffed, “Roose was on an accident… On… his ship.”
“Where’s he?” I felt tears forming, I begin to understand and feel my mother’s hurt.
“He’s missing…”
The flashback ended with a loud crashing sound against the sea.
I opened my eyes. Roll-er was leaning against my back, his two pair of arms crossed on each other, he was sleeping soundly. Scar was on the other side of the beach, asleep on his wings.
I ignored the blinding sun and closed my eyes again. I’ve decided that I’ll go home. Today, I’m going to the Pokemon Center to make a call to my mother, and go home. I would never want to see her crying again.
