Chapter IV
-The Ace-
I woke up in a dark cavern. My sense felt tingly. I felt weak, I struggled. I twisted, then turned. I felt I was in my bed, only this time it was spiky… wait. Spiky? I grabbed the floor with my hand. They were twigs, I realize. Hay and twigs all around me.
I’m in Lugia’s nest!
I recalled the rampaging dark Pokémon. I remembered how I was stuck in his tail, and now… I imagined. I would be a breakfast for his babies. Little dark Lugia feasting on me.
That thought came to life as I heard a crawling noise near me.
Arceus I’m going to be digested.
The figure was round. Wait I know this guy.
“Geodud!” He said.
“Roll!” I called gladly. The little rock Pokémon approached me. He was dirty, covered with twigs and rubble, but he approached me.
He landed on my chest, “Oof!” I clinched. “Hey!” I said softly. I tried to sit down, and then began scanning the cavern we were in.
It was dark, but little light came from behind the corner. All I can see were twigs, and were those bones? And berries?
I am in his lair. A little while maybe the baby Lugias will take me!
I hugged my Geodude and slowly crept towards the light.
“You’re awake.” A mysterious man’s voice echoed.
“AH!” I was surprised.
The light was against the figure but I saw his shadow. He was wearing a cape, and against the wind he looks like some super hero. He approached me. Now I noticed his face. It was lean, but hardened look. His eyes were looking sharp with his silver colored pupil. His arm was covered with bandages, but his fingers weren’t. Then in his waist was a belt, that contained several number of Pokeballs.
“Are you some kind of Pokemon ranger?” I dared ask.
His hair I notice was brown like mine, “No. Do I look like one?” He said.
“Uhm. Yes?” I honestly said. “With all that gear and stuff… Wait. Where are we?” I approached the sunlight. Suddenly it blinded me with its heat, but it felt great. It took a second for my eyes to adjust. “This is…”
The view was astonishing! We were at the top of a cliff, and below us was a wide and vast sea. At the side was a long haven of trees that stretches far away towards a tall hill. Pokemon I saw, roamed free above and below. From the seas jumped several unknown Pokemon, but I notice a Magikarp too, then a pack of Krabby’s led by a Kingler, crab Pokemon walks below the sandy beach. It was beautiful.
The sky turned dark. I stepped back, thinking it was the Lugia. But several beautiful bird Pokemon juggled above me, wings fluttering and their squawks with them.
“Where am I?” I turned to the man.
“Seafoam Islands.” He announced.
“Where?” I wasn’t familiar with it. “An isolated island far off Kanto.” He said. He picked up a berry from the stash at the hay bed.
“sir, how’d I get here?” I asked.
He grin, then chuckled. “So you don’t remember?”
“Not really.”
“He dropped you below.” He said in a low tone.
I wondered. “He? Who is he?” Maybe he meant the Lugia. “Is it the Lugia?”
