Chapter X
-A Rival's and Departure-
The horror of night haunted my bedroom. The man named Monkey King… he was captured by the police, after Henia insisted he assaulted our peaceful date. But as he was being taken away, he was screaming insanely the name, “King! Long live the King!”
The high-pitched voice of his made my ears bleed, even as I had gotten home, taken care of by Henia and mom. His eyes still burned with smoke, from my Pokemon’s last attack. But that mouth was painted a smile, still echoing the name King.
I didn’t want to go to the roof tonight, the moon was veiled by a thick fog. And her light wasn’t even there. My room’s dim light felt darker as it was consumed by shadows all around me.
I was terrified… terrified of something… And that is nothingness, the room felt chill. My Scar and Roll-er were in their Pokeballs, healing up after a stressful incident. Even though they didn’t like their Pokeball as a bed, they had to.
Henia didn’t hear anything about what the Monkey king said, she didn’t remember the name Monkey uttered, “Ace.”
It was a blind guess. Ace is something bigger than he appears, something part of… Chaos at least. I need to find him… And fast, all these things were getting tighter and tighter, but all vague and dissolute.
And his other words, something he said. About a deck, a deck that never works alone. It meant circles, what deck? What alone? what works!? But can’t ask, he was already being sentenced to a month of imprisonment… And would he return to fight me? And win?
He was strong, he was powerful, and he has a technique. Seemingly knowledgeable of speaking Poke-speech.Though they sounded stupid, HE DEFEATED ME EASILY. If not for Roll-er’s desperate attempt to save me.
The thoughts processed, mixing with the un illuminated darkness, and the scarcity of the moon. All I remember were some stories to pass my terror. And eventually. I passed to sleep.
In my golden nightmare, there was lighting and waves. Waves of the sea, crackling with the echoes of jitters and more squeals. Humans, all panicking like they were in trouble.
I realize I was standing on a deck of a large ship. Watching the sea eat the vessel apart, there were no Kyorge, but it was heaven itself that send me their deepest regards.
Then it flashed, towards something that felt itchy. Sand on my toes, I was looking over a palm tree, and Shellder’s empty shells. The sun was burning my skin, I felt dizzy.
Then an arm extended. I wasn’t sure who she was, but long hair, which the sun made to appear as a shadow.
“Are you… allright?” It was not familiar. But she sounded urgent.
I lost voice…
And through something I unidentified… A door opened.
I woke up, and immediately stared at the door. It was locked. Sunday it was. Sunday it is. And without a thought I gave in to pain and stress, and I closed my eyes, hoping to get back on the dream, and learn who opened the door.
Monday came, and it was a mix of terror and love, perfect.
My Henia, just the thought of her makes me shiver with love. I mean giggle. I don’t know.
But the mere thought of Monkey King was very disturbing. Again, a hooded figure coming right next to you, then speaking things that makes your mind explode, he was a terror.
All the kids gather at our seats as usual, talking to Missa, and pushing me to talk. But I was silent a while, until the fat kid, said. “Have you heard the Goldenrod incident? The explosion? It was on the news!”
