    Today it's a Saturday, yah no school!
I begin my day just like any other, by watching Riverdale of course! Nah, I'm just kidding. Even though I do love Riverdale. I start out with a bowl of fruit and my lemon water(I'm kinda obsessed with it). I lay on my couch eating my breakfast. Of course the water had to spill all over me. I turn tail and all. Thank god no ones home. Well I might as well make the best of this. I sit there looking at my phone. A message pops onto my screen.

Good morning, Princess!

                              Good morning, Sebastian.

My tail quickly turns back into legs, well I guessed that worked.

    "Good morning, Malia. Sorry I can't stay for breakfast. I'm late for work."my aunt says walking into the living room. I had no clue that she was still here. Thank god she didn't see me.  I finally make sure my aunt leaves and no one is here. I walk outside to my pool. Okay so I know this is really dangerous because someone could see me but, I do it anyways. I walk up the latter and jump in. My legs turn into a tail. I swim in circles, going faster and faster every time.

   *Maddie P.O.V.*
I drive over to Malia's house, I hope she's up. I ring the doorbell, no answer. I knock, no answer. I decide to open the gate to her backyard. Maybe she's outside. I walk and see something in her swimming pool. I look at it, it's a giant red mermaid flipper that splashes as it dives into the pool. I rub eyes, am I really seeing this? I open my eyes and see Malia in the pool with the tail where her legs should be. We lock eyes for a few moments.

   *Malia P.O.V.*

   I come up from the water to see Maddie in my backyard. She stands there mouth open. We lock eyes for a few moments.

     "Hey...you like my-my fake tail..."I say trying to lie the best I can.

    "Malia, your a terrible liar."she says as she walks up to the edge of the pool.

     "Look-I-I-I can explain."

    "No need to- I can obviously see that your a mermaid. What else would you be."she says acting like it's no big deal. Why can't she be this calm when I tell her I have a crush.

    "Okay-so you know. Please...don't tell anyone.."

     "Who would believe me. How long have you kept this from me?"she says more annoyed and less shocked.

    "Well I only got turn like a week ago when I went to Moonlight."

    "You can get turned. Who turned you?"

     "Actually it's not a who but a what. So I fell in a secret mermen/mermaid pool and I turned me. The only reason I'm alive is because Miles and Sebastian were there. There mermen."

    "Oh so that's how you got to hang out with them, they've been helping you."

    "Yeah, they're good guys. I should probably take you over to them. They know a lot more than me."I say.

     "Okay well take my car."she says as I literally jump out of the thank god I had a towel near by. I start to dry myself off. Maddie stares at me or more  like my tail.

      "Cute. I wish I had one."she says

   "No you don't. Trust me."I say warningly.  I transform back into just me and hop into Maddie's car.
