Chapter 5
I sat next to Jen, staring blankly at the screen at the movie theatres. Jen is holding the popcorn, we'd decided to watch some horror movie. I sneak a glance at Jen, this is beginning to feel oddly like a date but we're just friends. We're both in happy relationships and I only love her as a friend.
"What's on your mind?" Jen asks, I glance at her as she pops a popcorn into her mouth. The movies going through commercials at the moment.
"Nothing," I reply, taking a deep breath and sitting back. Jen seems to be thinking about something as well. Her eyes aren't really focused on anything.
"What about you?" I ask, Jen looks at me with a small smile. I know what she's about to say before she even has a chance to say it.
"You want to have a party." I say finally. Jen nods her head, a grin appearing on her face. I sigh, I supposed a party wouldn't be so bad, our parties are legendary.
"Yeah! I mean kind of like a back to school type thing. Maybe a Bon fire?" Jen explains, I like the idea however if there's alcohol hopefully no one falls into the fire.
"That could work, I guess. We could have it at the wreck?" I ask, 'The wreck' is this spot in the woods where there's a huge clearing where there are absolutely no trees. There's an abandoned car there, people think that it was a car left in the woods after a car wreck. Which is why it's called 'the wreck'.
"Cool. Let's talk about it after the movie." Jen whispers, as the lights shut off.
I have a feeling this party is going to be eventful in a dramatic type of way.

After the movie I followed Jen home so that I would know that shes safe. After she gets out of her car and closes her door she walks up to my car.
"Hey can you stay over tonight?" she asks.
"Can i ask why?" I ask looking at heer worriedly.
"Mike isnt answering the phone and he knows i dont like to be home alone" She says.
"Sure, ill stay with you. Itll be just like old time," i say with a laugh.
