K.O giggled as he walked down the plaza, looking around excitedly. He was still happy about getting a job at Gar's, and he honestly couldn't express how happy he was. He knew this was his first step to become a hero, and he couldn't wait to get stronger.

He continued walking, unaware of his surroundings, though the sound of voices made him stop in his tracks. He looked around the area he was in and immediately knew he was lost. He looked around frantically for a way out of the area he was in, but there was no luck.

He turned around when he heard laughter behind him, and was relieved to see a group of four people behind him. He ran up to them as fast as he could, a huge smile crossing his face. "Hey!" He shouted as he skidded to a stop. "Do you guys know the way out of this area? I wasn't really paying attention where I was going and kinda got lost."

They continue to laugh for a while until one of the people point behind K.O. "Just keep on going that way and you'll be out," they said.

K.O's face lit up with joy, but he didn't move. "Haha, thanks!" He said, still standing in the same spot. "But before I go, I just wanted to say I love your outfits!" He declared.

The four people looked back and fourth at each other, smirking. They knew this kid was gullible and weak, and they wanted to take advantage of that.

The four walked up to K.O, who was still talking excitedly and not paying attention. He finally stopped to take a breath and noticed the group surrounding him. "Oh, hi!" He declared. "Do you guys wanna be my friends?"

The group started to laugh loudly, and K.O just looked around at the people, a confused smile on his face. "Haha, no," the leader of the group said, raising his fist.

K.O frowned when suddenly he got punched in the face faster than he could react. He quickly grabbed onto the side of his face, but before he could say anything else, everyone around him was already beating him up. He whimpered as three of the people kept on kicking and punching him, unaware the fourth person was recording the whole thing.

"You're such an idiot!" One of the people said, kicking him in the face. "Who else would not know where they're going and get themselves lost here?"

"You're just a puny, weak little kid!" Another person shouted, punching him in the side. "You'll never be strong! I mean, look at you! Such a weak and worthless little thing! Nobody loves you!"

K.O started to cry, which caused the last person to speak. "Aww, crying now are we? You're such a a baby, suck it up and deal with it!"

The beating went on for a little while longer, when the person recording told them to stop. Sighing, they all stopped kicking and punching and left K.O lying there in the middle of the sidewalk.

He had cuts and bruises all over his body, as well as a black eye. His clothes were ripped and his headband was almost torn off, and he was also missing a few teeth. He lied there, unable to move for what seemed like days when Enid, Rad, and his mom ran up to him.

"Oh my gosh, K.O!" Enid shouted as she landed in front of him. Carol and Rad quickly followed behind, their eyes going wide once they saw the state K.O was in.

"K.O, my baby!" Carol said, kneeling down in front of him to pick him up. He yelped in pain as his mom picked him up, trying to be as careful as she could. She held him in her arms like a baby, and looked at him with concern.

"Who did this to you?!" She asked, anger starting to take over "I'll make sure they pay for doing this to my K.O!"

"Dude, whoever did this really messed him up, he needs a hospital like, right now," Rad said, trying to hold back the fear and sadness in his voice.

"You think?!" Enid shouted at the top of her lungs. She sighed and pulled out a phone, her face switching to a more serious one. "Come on, the hospital is this way!" Enid shouted, running in the direction that they came from.

Rad quickly followed Enid, and Carol followed last, running as fast as she could but also being careful not to injure K.O more than he already was.

"Hang in there, K.O," Carol said, forcing back her tears. "You'll be okay, trust me."

"You've gotta be okay."

(A/N) Would you look at that, the Darkfics are back! Haha, I'm really excited to be working on this one, honestly! I haven't worked on a Darkfic in a while, so prepare yourselves! I'm ready to make possibly one of the first Darkfics for OK K.O! (or at least I think it's one of the first)

Anyway, other than that, please vote and comment if you enjoyed, and I'll see you in the next chapter! ^_^
