(OLD) Just a Scratch - OK K.O

Chapter Eight - Falling

K.O sat on the ground for a while, when he heard Enid and Rad speaking. "I don't know where he is," Enid said. "He should be here by now!"

He held his breath and closed his eyes, he knew if he had to do it, he had to do it now.

K.O looked to his right and saw some boxes stacked on top of one another and walked over to them. They were stacked in a way where he could climb up them easily, so he carefully climbed them until he was on the roof of Gar's.

He started to crawl toward the front of the building, but stopped when he heard voices again.

"I dropped him off not too far from here!" He heard his mom shout. "I don't know where he went!"

He sighed and continued crawling forward, stopping once he reached the edge. He was hoping nobody would notice him, but his hopes didn't come true, as Enid noticed him in the corner of her eye. "K.O!" She shouted, looking at him.

Rad and Carol quickly looked in his direction with a gasp, and once they put their hands over their mouths, a crowed was forming behind them. There were mumbles and shouts, but everyone was confused and shocked at what was going on.

"K.O! Get down here!" Carol shouted. "Get down here right now young man!"

Soon everyone started shouting his name, and K.O just looked around frantically. This was harder than he expected it to be, but that didn't change his mind. He took a few deep breaths, took a few steps backwards, closed his eyes, and ran for the edge of the roof.

K.O fell down quickly, though the world seemed to slow down around him, just like in his dream. All the shouts around him became muffled out and distant, though there were three voices he heard shout his name.

Enid's, Rad's, and his mom's.

Enid and Rad's sounded shocked, scared, and distressed. They sounded like a normal shout but with more concern and sadness in their voice than they've ever had before.

His mom's shout was more of a shriek filled with so many emotions at once. It sounded more pained than any shout he's ever heard in his entire life.

Those shouts were the last thing he heard before he hit the ground, and the world around him went dark.

Once K.O hit the ground, everyone went quiet. Everyone looked at each other with wide eyes and hands over their mouths in shock at what they had just witnessed.

Carol, Rad, and Enid quickly ran up to K.O's limp body and picked him up, checking for any sort of pulse, but there wasn't one.

Suddenly, Carol burst into tears as she held his body, hugging it as if he were still alive. The crowd behind the three put their heads down and closed their eyes.

Enid and Rad just stood there, and they started to cry as well, though it was to themselves. Nobody was able to believe that K.O did this to himself, all because of an incident that happened because he was just being himself.

The only sound that could be heard was Carol crying over K.O.

Crying over how she should've been able to stop it.

(A/N) And with this shorter than usual chapter, the story is done! Haha, please don't hurt me, I'm just doing what I do best xD

Oh my stars, I finished this is three days, this is the quickest I've ever finished a Fanfiction! You have no idea how much fun I had writing this, haha
