K.O slowly started to wake up, only to find himself sitting in his moms lap with a cast on his left arm and leg. He looked around and put his right hand on his face, confused. "What happened?" He asked weakly.

Carol wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. "Oh K.O, you got really hurt," she said with sadness in her voice. "But all that matters to me is that you're okay!"

He blinked a few times and looked to the side, remembering what was said to him back at the plaza when he was being beat up. He took a deep breath and let out a sigh and closed his eyes for a brief moment.

"Mom?" He asked, grabbing her attention. "Am I a stupid, puny, and worthless little kid that nobody loves?"

Carol was taken aback by his question, unable to believe that her son, an innocent little boy, was asking this sort of question. He wouldn't have gotten this into his head on his own, and she knew that someone had to tell this to him.

She positioned him on her lap to where he was facing her, and sighed. She placed her hands on the side of his face and looked directly at him. "Listen, K.O, you are not a stupid, puny, worthless kid. You're my son, my adorable, smart, innocent, happy son," she declared. "I love you with all my heart, I don't know what I'd do if something ever happened to you."

K.O looked to the side and sighed. He knew what his mom said was true, but a part of him felt like it wasn't. He looked back at his mom and smiled, but deep down he didn't feel anything.

"There's your adorable smile," Carol said, smiling back as K.O looked down at the cast covering his arm and leg. He still couldn't believe how he let this happen to himself or why it happened to begin with. He knew if he really wasn't a stupid, puny, and worthless kid then he wouldn't have gotten beat up like he did.

"Let's get you home kiddo," Carol said, putting K.O over her shoulder as she stood up. K.O just stared off into space, hoping tomorrow would be much better.

K.O sighed as his mom carried him into Gar's. He wasn't really in the mood to work today, let alone be in public. "Here you are, K.O," his mom said as she set him on the counter that Enid was working on. "Just stay around here and don't go anywhere by yourself and you should be fine."

K.O nodded as mom walked off to her dojo, and he just looked over to the side.  "Hey, K.O," Enid said, placing her elbows on the counter. "It's gonna be okay, me and Rad gave those bullies just what they deserved. It's gonna be okay."

He let out a sigh, wanting to believe that everything was going to be okay, but he knew it wasn't. His arm and leg are broken and he can't even go anywhere without having to be carried.

He didn't understand why people were caring about him even after he got beat up. A part of him wished they didn't find him so he could've died there and not have to deal with everyone worrying about him. He actually started to wonder how they even found him.

"Hey, Enid?" K.O asked weakly. "How did you guys know where I was at?"

Enid stared for a moment and sighed. "Those people who beat you up recorded the whole thing and uploaded it to the internet," she said. "The only reason I knew about it was because I saw the video when it was posted. I told Rad and then we went and told your mom, and that's how we found you."

K.O just stared at Enid. He's never heard her sound this concerned before, or concerned in general. "Hey, kid, let me get you off the counter," she said, picking K.O up off the counter and setting him against the wall behind it. "There."

He curled himself into a ball and placed his head in his knees, staring sadly at Enid as she went back toward the counter. He wondered if they knew just how much he was hurting inside, and if they really cared if he was hurting or not.

He honestly wanted to believe that everything was okay and that he was fine, but he knew that nothing was fine and that he wasn't okay. He actually couldn't feel a thing, the only thing he could feel was a hint of sadness, everything else was just emptiness.

He just wanted everything to be okay.

But it wasn't.

(A/N) Why the hell are the tags on this story disappearing?? Like seriously, I've never had this problem on my other stories (though I have on my many other accounts before this, it's extremely annoying to deal with)

Honestly I feel bad for K.O, because I know where this story is going, and honestly I can't wait for your guys' reaction to certain things xD

Seriously, I love the comments I receive on Corruption and the reactions to certain things (especially toward the parents in chapter 2) are freaking hilarious XD

Anyway, that's all for this chapter, and I'll see you in the next one! ^.^
