7 - Monster

After they left the restaurant, they continued walked to Areum's house. During the walk, they met some of their schoolmates. Everyone were talking about her and some gave her death glares toward her, of course the fangirls. Areum looked down all the way. She was so tired with all the shits they throw on her. Then, a warm hand held her hand. "Hey, do you forget that I'm still beside you?" Changkyun looked at her with his bright smile. "As long as I'm here, you will be fine."

Everytime he said those words to her, her heart felt so warm and she felt safe with him. "Thank you, Changkyun. Thank you." She hugged him, small smile carved on her lip. Changkyun was shocked with her sudden affection. He hugged her back but more tighter. Areum slowly broke the hug and looked at him. "I want to tell you something." She said.

As she about to open her mouth, she saw her beloved sister and her friends. The fear and horror started appeared around her. Once she saw her especially with a boy, she dead. "Hey Areum, what's wrong?" Changkyun asked and looked at where she was looking at. A group of loud girls.

Could it be that is her sister?, He thought. Their faces almost the same but her eyes are smaller than Areum. He looked back at Areum who was stood in horror looking at them. This is bad. If they run, that would be very obvious but if they stood there doing nothing, it gonna be worse.

"Areum, I'm sorry." He put on his cap on her head. Before she could response him, she been pulled with force and their lips were sealed together. C-Changkyun! , she thought. Her eyes were widen than before.

"Look that! Kissing on public." "Eww! Get a room please."

After the group has gone from the scene, Changkyun quickly broke the kiss and apologised to her many time. Their faces were as red as tomato.

He did that..trying to save me? , she thought. A soft laughed then escape from her mouth. "Y-Yah, why are you laughing?" He asked as he noticed she was giggling softly. She shook her head and flashed her beautiful smile to him. "Thank you for saving my life, Changkyun."

His heartbeat began to beat faster. There stood in front of him, a beautiful creature who been called monster all the time, was smilling at him. An angelic smile. But then, the smile fade from her lip. Sometime it make his heart ache everytime she being like that. Feeling that she was small and not vulnerable like other girls.

"I'm scared, Changkyun." She said softly. Yes, she was really scared. Everything that her family would do on her she could imagined it already. If only she could run away from them but she knew that would never happen on someone like her. A monster doesn't deserve anything.

"Hey.." He broke the silence. "You said you wanted to tell me something. How about we get something cool eat and a nice place to sit. I will tell more about myself." He suggested and she nodded. "Oh your cap.." "Just wear it. You look beautiful with that." He said. He then just realized what he was saying and he started to blush badly. Areum couldn't help and giggled softly.

They went to a nearby park and find a nice place to sit after they bought two ice creams from the ice cream truck. "This place would be fine." Changkyun said. The place were surrounded with cherry blossom tree and the scenery was so mesmerizing. It was peace and very calm there. They were enjoying their ice cream while resting their eyes on the beautiful scenery they have there.

Changkyun was waiting patiently for Areum to tell him something that she wanted to him ad he didn't to end this faster. His eyes on her all the time. He found the struggle with his job. He was not allowed to fall in love but he already fall for her. It would be big problem when his other brothers found out that.

"My family hate me ever since I was a kid. They told me that I was the reason all the bad lucks happen. They lived happily and full of luxury before I was born. But after I was born, everything they had were gone." She stopped for awhile and looked up to the sky. "There an incident happened. Well, everyone thought a child is very innocent and knows nothing about adult. I killed my uncle."

Changkyun was shocked hearing her last sentence. He looked at her with unbelievable face. "And now you will think I'm the monster too right?" Areum said and tears started rolling down from her cheeks. She clenching her fists. "My unlce, he was the reason my family lived in wealthy and luxury. Everyone respects him but not me after what he have done to me. It was on Christmas. I was left alone with him while my family went for family outing, shopping for Christmas. I was desperately tring to save myself from him." Tears started streaming down.

Flashback (Areum POV)

I was reading a book in my room, alone. All my family are out shopping for Christmas except for my uncle. I am not a fan of those kind of thing. Then, my stomuch started to growl. Ever since my uncle staying here, I'm not coming out from my room. I found that he is odd. I looked at the clock.

12.30 a.m.

I guess he slept already? I really need something to eat now or else I'm gonna die, starving. I got down from my bed and went to the door. I slowly open the door and check whether my uncle is in his room or not. His door is completely shut and I feel relief about that. I don't have to see his face.

Then, I quickly went downstairs and straight away went to the kitchen. I get some foods from the refrigerator and bring all of them to the counter. I grab a knife and started cut the fruits and mix it with yogurt. I happily enjoy the simple meal with my favourite banana milk. Then , I heard footsteps behind me. It is my unlce.

"Areum ssi~! Finally I meet you. Where were you all this time?" He said with a smile. I have one gifted that I can read people. His smile is a false smile. Ignoring him, I take my banana milk with me and left the kitchen. But then, I felt a strong force grab me and I just realised that I was being pin to the wall. The eyes that looking at me are full with lust. "Let go of me!" I desperately get away from him but he tighten his grips.

"I never knew that I have a beautiful niece." He said and he draw closer his face to mine. Then, I could feel his hand playfully at my back. I kick right on his ball wheb his hand went further. He groans in pain and I quickly run away. But he is way faster than me as he already in front of me. "What the hell kid?! Do you think you can run from me?" He smirks.

I take a few steps behind as he comes to me until my back meet the counter. I saw he is smiling as he won something. Then, my eyes caught on something shining on the counter. "And now, you can't run from me."

"I warn you. Don't come near me, monster." I said in disgusted. He ignores my warning and drags his feet to me. As he face is close enough with mine, "G-Guhh!" Blood started raining on my face. I push it deeper and deeper. Not for a long time, he fall on the ground, swimming in his own blood.

Then, I just realised that... I killed a man who someone very important to my family. Shit.
