April finishes the story of how we got fired and says, "That's what we told Thompson and she fired us." Vernon raises an eyebrow at April and asks, "So they're aliens?" April leans back in her seat and says dumbly, "No that's stupid. They're reptiles." I face palm and groan then interrupt, "They help people, I guess." Vern smirks and says trying to sum it up, "Heroes in the half shell" I mumble under my breath, "Turtle power" April glances at me and then Vern says exaggeratedly, "Okay..." I roll my eyes and April gives him a look then Vern tries to explain himself, "Come on. It's not crazy. I...The animal kingdom is full of...I used to have a dog that could moonwalk." I get out and stretch April gets out I smile at Vernon and then thank him, "Thanks for the ride Vern." Vernon sends a small smile back and says sarcastically, "Yeah. No problem. Nothing better than dropping off two pretty girls at a rich guy's house." April rolls her eyes at him and leans in to the intercom and presses the button saying, "Hi,it's April and Amelia O'Neil, here to see Eric Sacks." The gate opens and I wave to Vernon as he drives away.
~Time skip~
We walk into his main room, Eric smiles and makes a joke, "April and Persephone's arrived early this year." I smile apologizing and apologize, "We're sorry to barge in on you like this, Mr.Sacks." Eric shakes his head his smile still wavering somehow and says excusing us, "No,no,no. Please, please."
