Grace's Adventure In The Nightmare Before Christmas

Chapter 2

Grace came out of the light, it disappeared, looks around and realized that she's in a forest

"What is this place?" Grace confused

When she was walking around the forest, she noticed 7 trees were in a circle, she looks at the trees and sees that they have holiday signs on it, then when she saw a Jack-o'-lantern on one tree

"I think I'm in The Nightmares Before Christmas" Grace said

Then she decided to open the jack-o'-lantern door, she look down and she said "that is a long way down"

Then the wind pulled her in, she fell in and the door closed itself

She kept screaming as she was falling until she landed on the ground

She got up, looked around and said "hello?"

As she was looking around, music started to play and she said "what's going on?"

As the song started, Grace looked all over the place, she got spooked a bit but when she was in the middle of town she had to hide when everyone was gathered around for the entrance of their Pumpkin King who looked like a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head, and was on a horse statue

He grabbed a torch, ate it, got him on fire, Grace gasped a little and then she saw him jumping in a well, then he slowly rises up but he got a skull and dressed up in a black and white striped tuxedo

Everyone clapped and cheered for their Pumpkin King

"Jack Skellington" Grace said to herself

Everyone was excited cause their holiday is over and they did it

"Wasn't it terrifying?" A Werewolf said

"What a night" 2 creatures said

"Great Halloween everybody" said the Mayor of Halloween Town

"I believe it was our most horrible yet" Jack said "thank you everyone"

"No, thanks to you Jack" Mayor said "without our brilliant leadership"

"Not at all, Mayor" Jack said

"You're such a scream, Jack" one vampire said

"You're a witch's fondest dream" one witch said

"You made walls fall, Jack" little witch said

"Walls fall? You made the very mountains crack, Jake" one witch said

While everyone was complimenting Jack, he thanked them as he went to the cemetery

"Nice work, bone daddy" one saxophone player said

"Yeah, I guess so" Jack said looking sad "just like last year and the year before that, and the year before that and the year before that"

Grace follows Jack to the cemetery, when he started singing, Grace went behind a tombstone, then she saw his dog Zero appeared and he follows him. But then she notice Sally the Rag Doll looking at him too

"Oh my gosh, it's Sally" Grace whispers herself "she's so pretty"

After he finished singing he went to the forest and Grace heard Sally said "Jack, I know how you feel" and then she went to a tombstone to get dead flowers and she left

As for Grace she decided to follow Jack to see where he was going. Zero wanted Jack to play but he said he was not in the mood, but then Zero got him to play fetch, so Jack threw a bone far in the distance, Zero flew off to get it, the bone was close where Grace was hiding, as Zero grabbed the bone, he saw Grace, she got scared that Zero might bark at her to scare her but he flew close to her, sniff at her and he licked her face, making her giggle

Then Zero happily barked and flew circles around her

Jack heard his barking, making him confused so he went back to see what was the commotion and that's when he saw Grace with Zero

Grace saw Jack, she gasped and he said "oh, well hello little girl"

"H-hi" Grace said

"I believe that I've never seen you before" Jack said "are you new here?"

"Yeah, I am" Grace said

Then when he took a good look at her, he realized that she's a human so he said "you're a human, aren't you?"

"Is that bad?" She asked

"No it's just we've never had humans in Halloween Town" Jack said "let me introduce myself, I'm Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King! But you can call me Jack! And you are?"

"I'm Grace" she introduced herself

"What a wonderful name, it's nice to meet you, my dear" Jack said and he put his bone hand out "well Grace, you can come with me and Zero, we would like to have company"

Grace took his hand and they continuing walking through the forest

As they were walking, Jack asked Grace "so Grace, how did get here in Halloween Town?"

"Um well, I was in a creepy forest, saw 6 trees that was in a circle, then I saw a Jack-o'-lantern one" Grace explains to Jack "so I got curious that I opened the door, then the wind pulled me in there and here I am"

"I see" Jack said

A while later as they were still walking through the forest, Jack noticed Grace yawning

"My dear, are you getting tired?" Jack asked Grace

"Me? No I'm not tired" Grace said

"Come here" Jack said as he picked her up and walked away as she laid her head on Jack's shoulder and slowly falls asleep
