Chapter Eighteen: The Big Day.
"Love. It's supposed to feel special and not forced on. You can't help who you love. You get heartbroken, you can suffer but once it's real, it will never leave and you'll always find a way to each other no matter what. If you really love someone, you never give up on them and you fight for what you have, even when times are tough. Love is special, don't let it go."

"It's your big day!" I hear someone burst into my bedroom and nudge me to wake up and I was guessing it was Beverly.
"Leave me alone, it's too early." I moaned and tried hide under the covers.
Until something hit me. I was getting married today.
"Hurry up Elizabeth, the makeup and hair team will be here in twenty minutes!" My mother shouted from downstairs.
"Ugh!" I moaned again.
I waited until Beverly left and I got myself up and made my way to Nora's room. "Do I have to?" I moaned.
She nodded. "Sorry." We both headed downstairs to be greeted by everyone who looked cheerful.
"Morning!" Nicole said.
I ignored her and I sat on the couch, feeling more nervous than ever.
"Breakfast is ready, so hurry up and eat then take a shower!" My mom ordered me.
"Fine." I replied. I ate the bacon and eggs and then headed up for a shower
"Elizabeth, the team is here." I heard my mother shout. I got dressed into something light and I went downstairs where I saw a lot of makeup, hair products and people everywhere. Nora was in one chair while a women was doing her hair and another women was doing her nails, Beverly was doing the same thing but with different people.
"Here's the bride to be!" My mother said happily.
"Great, come and sit here." A man said. I sat on a chair and he started playing with my hair and another women came to do my nails. I'd rather do this myself. Or not at all. Actually, I'd rather do this for Luke.
"Ouch!" I complained as he pulled on my hair. He started curling my hair and I had red nail polish on my nails. Someone then came and started putting eye liner, mascara and all of the makeup shit on my face and this felt really weird. I normally put light makeup on or none at all.
"Gorgeous." Nicole complimented.
"Right, we are all done. You look amazing." I heard the man doing my hair say. I just smiled.
"Now, go get in that wedding dress!" My mom said and I walked upstairs with everyone following me as they were all done with their hair and makeup. I fitted the dress on and it was all white and puffy. I could hardly breathe. I found the vale and placed it over my hair and I took a good look in the mirror. I felt and looked stupid.
"Amazing!" I heard Beverly say as she was fixing up the dress. I placed my while heels on and felt like I could hardly stand up. This was my life.
"We will leave you to it." Nicole said as everyone left. When they left, I found the speaker that Luke gave me and pushed the on button.
"Test, test." I repeated.
"Test." I heard Luke's voice.
I smiled. "Great, I'll place it on now."
"Make sure no one can see it." Luke added.
I hooked it onto my bra and made sure it was not visible and luckily, my strapless bra didn't show since I was wearing a huge dress.
"It's time." I heard my mom come in and she took my hand and I walked down the stairs. I heard the gasps and I rolled my eyes. "Amazing, Nathan and the guys are already at the church and everyone seems to be there, so come on lets go." Mom told us.
"Great." I said sarcastically. I saw the hair and makeup team leave as we did.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine." Nora whispered. I smiled and walked outside as I felt all eyes on me by the neighbours and the cars that drove by. I saw a limo at the front of our house and I got in the back with everyone else.
It was going to take twenty minutes to arrive so I sat there silently, thinking about everything. I was so nervous I felt so sick, I held the piece of paper in my hand with my vows written on it but it was becoming wet because of my sweaty hands. I was now shaking as we had ten minutes left before we arrived.
"This is so exciting." I heard my mom say and everyone agreed except one person.
*
"We are here!" I heard my mom say.
I shuffled out of the limo after everyone else and I heard the music playing as my mom went inside. Beverly started to go in slowly as we were all lined up. I didn't even get five minutes to prepare myself. I saw my father waiting for me and he took my arm. After a few minutes, Nora looked behind her and gave me a sympathetic smile and then she walked in.
Here goes nothing.
The organ started playing and we walked inside where everyone stood and gasped. I see Nathan standing at the alter, smiling and I felt so awkward. The church was filled with balloons and ribbons. The isle had a red carpet on it and the seats were all plain brown.
Step by step we took towards him and once we reached the alter, my father gave me away and everyone sat down and the ceremony began. This was not how I imagined my wedding day.
He took both of my hands and it begun. "Welcome, family and friends. We are gathered here today to celebetate the love of Elizabeth Young and Nathan Green," the precher began, Nathan, do you take Elizabeth to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to hold for better or for worse, for richer for poorer and sickness and in health. To love and protect her. If you agree, please say I do."
"I do." Nathan said with a smile.
The preacher cleared his throat. "Elizabeth, do you take Nathan to be your lawfully wedded husband to love and to hold for better for worse, for richer for poorer and sickness and in health. To love and protect him. If you agree, please say I do."
"I do." I said queitly.
"May we please have the rings?" He said and the rings were handed to him and given to us.
He placed the ring on my left hand on the ring finger and I did the same.
Hurry up, Luke! We're running out of time.
"Before I ask to exchange vows," the preacher began, "Do you have any rejections towards this couple? Speak now or forever hold your peace."
I heard the door fling open and everyone looked back to see the love of my life.
He opened his mouth with a grin. "I reject!"
