Abigail paced back and forth in her room. She felt restless, unable to reach to a conclusion. Her tender mind was flooded with thoughts of the sudden phone call that Sarah had received earlier that day in the café.
"Erose wants to see me?", she pondered. "But, why?"
She sat down on her bed, rubbing her temples. "I'm getting nowhere with this", she thought out loudly.
She felt restive, realizing that her psyche had split up into two and playing a constant tug of war with each other. She couldn't decide which side of her she should give in to.
A part of her vehemently denied meeting the raven haired boy, while the other part wanted to visit him badly.
"Why am I supposed to meet him? He shouts at me and tells me to get out of his sight and the next day he wishes to see me! What an effrontery!"
"But, it was me only who extended my hand of friendship to him. It was me only who thought of helping him. He really thinks of me as his friend. He's also mentally sick and needs moral support at times like these. Maybe I'm acting a little too harsh....I should go visit him. He really needs me...."
This unending clash of two polar opposite opinions within her had been going on since Sarah had told her about Erose wanting to meet her. She entangled her hands in her black locks and hung her head low.
"Hey, sis!"
Abigail lifted her head up to see Atiqah standing near the door.
"How long you've been here?"
"Roughly fifteen minutes. You've been acting weird since then."
Abigail remained quiet.
"What's exactly happened? Who is giving you this headache? Your new boyfriend? What's his name?"
Seeing the victorious smirk on her sister's lips, her blood boiled.
"Will you shut the hell up?! You don't know anything, so keep your mouth shut. I'm not in the mood of picking a shitty argument with you. Now get lost for Christ's sake!"
Atiqah left the spot, eyebrows raised, but not without shooting some colorful words at the fuming girl.
She locked the door to her bedroom and proceeded to make the bed for herself to sleep. Maybe she wouldn't get the chance to sleep, considering the decision she had to make.
What would her decision be?
To be continued...
