The mood lights are now set at red, and I blend in. Some dude hands me a drink, which I down, then join Mya on the dance floor. Soon, all my troubles are washed away. The music is powerful, when suddenly my stomach drops. Too much beer. I rush outside, pushing open the back door.

"Please stop! Leave me alone!" A squeaky female voice yells. I glance around the corner. Three men in black surround a girl. I recognize her. She's in my Science class. Kate, is her name. The men grab her arms, dragging her too a big white truck.

"Please! Let me go!!! I'll do anything! I'll give you money! Please, just please let me--" Kate doesn't even get to finish her sentence, she is knocked out and gagged. My beer clogged mind is suddenly clear. I rush forwards, screaming at the men. They look up surprised.

"Let her go! I'll call the police!" I shout, hoping someone will hear me. I try to grab Kate's foot, but I am thrown to the floor. I blink looking up into the black eyes of the person on top of me. He holds a knife too my throat.

"I would take you to, but you seem like a lot of trouble. Listen up and listen good alright? You sure as hell better not say a word about this. What's your name?" The man roughly says. I wish I had lied, but there was a knife too my throat. What was I supposed to do?

"Liyann Reckler." I choke out. My heart is beating so fast. The man won't let me up. I notice he has a strong jawline.

" Well Liyann, I will make your life hell. I know your name, and I will find out more. Tell anyone, and you and your loved ones WILL die. "He says, finally lifting the knife up off me. I lay sprawled on the floor, coughing. My head swarms with thoughts. This cannot be happening.

When I look up they are gone. Kate, although I've never had a conversation with her, I knew she was very smart, and sweet. She always was top of the class, and everyone adored her. What just happened?

I stand up shakily. What do I do? I grip my head. God. I feel sick again, and I head over to a bush, barfing up the contents of my stomach. Ugh. I force myself to walk back into the party, the lights still red, but it's not comforting anymore. It reminds me of blood. I make myself walk through the bodies. It's so hot, sweat rubbing against me. Then I'm outside, and walking home. It's cold.

When I get home, I climb up the ladder, and slide right into bed. I don't even look too see if the twins are up. It doesn't matter anyway.

I cry, and I don't sleep.
