Road in the Night

 We hurried around the dog, rushing to the door. Kate's mom would be home any minute. Alex held open the door for me and we fly down the front of the stairs, disappearing from the street the second Kate's mom pulls up in the driveway.

I peek out from behind a bush and watch as Kate's mom places her head in her hands, her back shaking. My heart twinges.

Alex takes my arm, and we walk silently in the direction of somewhere. Magically, we end up in front of my house, and Alex walks in without question. My mom is surprise, surprise...not home. I plop down on the couch, chewing on someone's discarded tootsie roll. Alex gives me a weird look before finally talking.

" Dude. Wow." Alex seems too shiver.

" Someone was watching her." I say, just as chilled to the bone as him. Alex pulls the camera out from his pocket, his golden brows crinkling with thought. He suddenly looks up at me, standing swiftly.

" Get your computer, we can plug it in!" He says almost excitedly. I almost break my computer giving it too him. He fumbles with some whatchamacallit cord, and an image pops up onto the screen. The screen is black, but you can hear what sounds like someone walking. Then the camera turns around, and for a split second we see a face. It's too blurred and dark too make out, but it's a man. Then the camera is being carefully placed behind the stuffed animals, exactly where we found it.

The frame stays frozen, almost like a picture. Alex fasts forwards a bit, and we hear a large bang. Kate enters the room, looking like a mess. Her hair is down, which is rare, and her mascara is dripping. She sits on the bed, and the camera shakes. She reaches towards the camera, and pulls out a stuffed animal, hugging it to her chest.

Kate stays like this for a long time, before disappearing out her door. She comes back with a smile.

" Parents gone! " She shouts, grinning. She does something on her phone, and giggles happily. Kate spends quite a while in her mirror, tying her hair just right, fixing this, adjusting that. When she changes into different clothes, Alex covers his eyes. I grin, it's just too adorable.

I gasp when a tall man in all black clothes enters Kate's window. Kate giggles, rushing to him. The man mutters something that the camera doesn't pick up. Kate reaches up to his face, and they share a passionate kiss, before breaking away too look at each other.

" How's everything Isaac?" Kate practically squeaks from excitement. I pause the video.

" Isaac. Like as in Isaac from the chats." I say. Alex nods.

" So this is her secret boy toy." He murmurs, and I start the video again. Isaac smiles down at her.

" It's all good. Tyson keeps asking about you." Isaac shakes his head. Kate's arms drop from his neck.

" He texted me today. In the middle of class." Kate says, her voice dropping a few octaves. Isaac takes her phone from her pocket, and opens up an app.

" Did you parents see?" Isaac questions. Kate sighs.

" Almost. They saw a notification, and I told them it was for a project. Thank god they believed me, but Dad screamed at me about the danger of boys." Kate uttered, wrapping her hands around his waist.

" Oh so i'm dangerous too you?" Isaac sultrily mutters, touching his nose to hers. And with that, a long set of kisses and things that the lord jesus christ would disapprove of happened. Alex sang," la la la" to block out the moans. Eww. Hours, I guess, went by as Alex fast forwarded, and soon Kate was asleep motionless. Isaac laid next to her, sighing contently. Shouting noises came mutely into the room, getting closer, and Isaac shot up like a rocket.

My heart bumped as I heard someone shout, " KATE?" Isaac placed a kiss on Kate's forehead, covering her naked body with a blanket before sliding out the window.

" Wait, go back, he said something." Alex reported. I scrolled back a few seconds, turning the volume up.

" I love you Kate." Isaac says, dropping out of the window. I say nothing, but I feel Alex move closer to me.

" That was cute." Alex says, and I grin.

" I can't even like process what just happened." I added.

Suddenly, my butt vibrates. Oops, just my phone. Laura my tootle but the caller ID screeches. Alex laughs, but I gasp.

" Omigod Omigod i'm so sorry!" I say into the phone.

I think ima like leave lil authors notes every chapter or so. 

So hey watta up. I know i disapeared for like the whole summer....but life happened yall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. 

Anywho like mah crush looked at me, and i muttered 'ily' to him and he coughed..HE COUGHED!!! does that mean like,' omigod she said ily and idk her so cough cough' or like ' im sick cough cough' ??? HELP MEEHHHHHH <--- :/
