Kate: In the basement
I rolled over on the mattress, a sob choking in my throat. I was still here. Still here in this place where a man expected me too love him.
" Kate? Sweetie? Please come eat with me." Soft hands caress my face. Tears roll down my face.
" Please let me go!" I shout, rolling back over to look him in the eye. Pale green orbs stare back at me.
" No. I've told you what you need to do." He says, while running a hand through his straight black hair.
" I just...miss Isaac." I say, wondering if he will get mad like before.
" You dont miss him! I'm here! You dont need him!" He growls in my face, smelling strongly of mint. I roll back over, sobbing into my hair, which he demanded to be left down.
" I just want to see him. A picture, a video just something." I say, my voice wobbling. I sit there pondering, when an idea pops into my mind.
" It would make me SO happy." I say, leaning towards him, and I try so hard not to gag.
" It would make you happy? Happy enough to eat with me?" He says. I nod. He reaches for my hand, and with bile in my throat, I take it.
" Yes. Enough to eat with you." I murmur, giving him a fake smile. My lips are coated with the lipstick he forced me to wear. His brows crinkle with thought, before he sighs, giving into my request.
" All right, but I need you too do one thing for me." He declared. My heart bumps in my chest.
" That depends on what it is." I utter.
A few moments later, I am seated in front of a camera, and I say the lines that I am told too say.
And I pray she could see the writing I scratched into the wall.
