Chapter 17

Adrian puts both his hands on my waist and hugs me from behind. His hands encircle my waist oh so carefully and softly and leave a trail or pleasant tingles.

-Oh okay then, I'll leave you with your friend. Was nice dancing with you.- he says and leaves immediately.

I try to calm my heart that's beating in my chest so loud I can feel it in my throat.

I take Adrian's hands from my waist and turn around to look at him. He's wearing a white button up with metal necklaces, bracelets and rings and black jeans.

-Why did you chase that poor guy away? – I stare at him with a raised eyebrow. Annoyance takes over my nervousness. If I'm going to find someone to forget this someone right here I'd rather he stay far away.

-I brought your hot replacement. - He smirks at me.

-You're not that hot...- I say firmly.

-Ouch, babe.- he says and I fold over my arms.

-I'm not your babe.-I whisper and he takes one of my hands and pulls me towards one of the corners.

-I know.-he says as we're walking and I'm not sure I heard right.

-What??- I scream trying to clarify, but he just grins and drags me into one of the rooms on the side.

We enter a room that has a pool table in the middle. It's not deserted, there are some people there.

I recognize the orange haired girlie that came to talk to me before and another guy from Black paint (was it Johnny?). He and a few other guys I don't know are playing pool. The room is filled with smoke and I cough a little.

Adrian drags me towards them and gives me a pool cue.

-Do you play?- he asks.

-Sure... a little.- I answer truthfully and he just smiles some more.

-Great, you're on my team then, cause I suck!- the girl with the two braids says before Adrian can open his mouth and snatches me away from him.

Adrian scowls.

-Sure, whatever Laura.- he says, but then his eyes begin to gleam.-But we play for something then, not just for fun.

-I don't really have any money..- I say weakly but Laura just dismisses my saying with her hand.

-Who cares about money anyway? No, let's play for something interesting. How about, every time you miss a shot I tell Hannah a secret about you?-Laura says.

-Wait, now that's not really fair, I..- Adrian stutters for the first time and Laura looks at him pointedly.

-Nothing too big, just some little things.- she says again and I turn to look between them.

Johnny finishes smoking his cigarette and puts it on a tray nearby blowing out the last of his smoke slowly.

-...and you girls take off a piece of clothing if you miss a shot.- he says calmly and my eyes widen.

I'm not wearing much to begin with! I look at Laura and she's much better off- she has a jacket on and a t-shirt, tights and boots. I'm only wearing a dress, my stockings and boots.

-Fine.- I say and Adrian's face immediately lights up. His eyes dance over my body while Johnny simply takes another cigarette into his mouth.

-That's really okay with you?- Laura asks me and I shrug. –If we miss a lot, we'll end up naked.

-We shouldn't miss then.- I say simply and smile at her.

-I like you a whole lot already Hannah.- she says and points her pool cue dramatically at Adrian.-You're on. Adrian starts first, then Hannah, then Johnny and me.
