My phone suddenly beeps two hours after I arrive at work. I can't look at it immediately, because my hands are still soapy from washing the dishes, though there isn't a lot. We don't have that many customers ordering actual food in the morning, just mostly coffee.

I take off my gloves and clean my hands on a nearby towel, then look at the message.

My heart skips a small beat as I see the id.

Adrian Silver: Jonathan Mayer str. 156, the party starts at 10 p.m.

I exhale immediately. Oh, the address. Why did I think it would be something about..? Never mind, it was just me that reacted to it.

Actually I meant to shake him up, but my heart is still pounding thinking about it. I never get that feeling kissing anyone else. Not even on the lips. I mean I probably kissed all my friends once or twice, but I never felt anything.

It's okay. Adrian didn't react to it too much.

My phone beeps again and I see the message on the screen that makes me restless and makes me smile at the same time.

Adrian Silver: By the way... I'm still shook from that kiss Hannah. Is this a thing now? Can I keep expecting kisses whenever we part?

I quickly type a reply.

Hannah: I kiss all my friends goodbye, don't make too much of it. It was out of habit, sorry if It shook you, I won't repeat it again ;)

Adrian Silver: HOLD UP. No no, please keep kissing me. Whenever wherever:)

I type furiously for a good minute and then delete everything I say and just type in.

Hannah: No.

I lock my phone and put it back into my back pocket again. I'm afraid that if I kiss him again, I might not want to stop.. so it's best I stop that thing altogether.

Gregg comes in to check in on everyone.

The cooks are chatting leisurely and I'm handed a few more plates and cups to clean so I get to work.

My phone keeps beeping but I ignore it.

-Come on guys, don't slack off. Even if we don't have many customers, you know it's going to be suicide when lunch time comes in. –Gregg mumbles to them, but they just brush him off. One of them is even smoking inside. Jeff I believe.

Gregg takes the cigarette and throws it into the sink.

-Hey! I was smoking that!- Jeff whines standing up from his stool and the others stop talking to look at Gregg now.

-You can keep smoking that in here or keep your job. Your choice.-Gregg says firmly and Jeff just scoffs and says nothing.-Now go prepare for lunch you good for nothings!

Then he comes up to me and winks.

-How is Ben?- he asks me silently and my smile fades. I told him Ben is still recovering, I never told him why.

-He's okay I guess. Doesn't eat much, but yeah... otherwise he's ok.

Gregg's eyebrows rise so high they're almost reach his hairline.

-What? Not eating?

-That's the worst sin ever for you, isn't it boss?- I chuckle and he blushes a little.

-Well, it is. Come by in the evening before closing time and I'll cook up something I know he'll like.

-Don't trouble yourself, Gregg, it's okay...
