Ken was walking on the sidewalk, not paying much attention. She'd been dating Ayato for a while, and she understood why Hide had broken them up, but she was still sad about it.

She wasn't quite sure where she was anymore, only that the airport was nearby and she was in a busy part of town.

She stepped out into the street to cross, but a pair of arms pulled her back just in time to save her from getting hit by a car.

She was frozen for a moment, her heart pounding fast and loud in her chest. Then she turned to thank the person, only she stopped still upon seeing his face. "Shuu?"

He smiled. "Do you remember all the rules you created to stop me from loving you?" he asked softly against her ear.

She nodded hesitantly.

"Well, forget about them, because they didn't work and I plan on breaking them all a second time."

And his lips met hers, five years after their initial separation, and everything was the same yet different in that their love hadn't disappeared, only the boundaries and borders stopping them from loving each other had.

"What about Maria?" she asked after a second.

"Gone," he said easily, smiling his real smile. "I would ask about Ayato but I don't care because I'll fight off whoever I have to."

"He's gone, too," she said. "There's just one problem..."

"Oh?"

"You have to get Hide's permission."
