Kami's POV
Day 2 of The Grand Magic Games. I met up with Sting and Lector before the day's events started so that he could lead me to his booth.
"Sting, I'll be honest-I'm a little nervous." I tried to say, but it came out as a whisper. "Don't worry, Kami-chan. We'll look out for you." Lector encouraged me. "Yeah Kami, it'll be fine. They're gonna love you." He reassured me.
As we started up the stairs, Sting grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers. When we reached the booth, the Sabertooth team was already there.
"Guys, this is Kami. She's going to be watching the games with us." Everyone looked to me and I felt a little uncomfortable. "Kami, this is Rufus," Sting said as he motioned to the blonde in the hat. "Orga," he motioned to the large man with green hair. "Yukino," he nodded to the white haired girl. "And you've met Rogue, Frosch, and Chandler."
"Very nice to meet you, Kami." Rufus said and smiled at me. "Very nice to meet you as well." I said and smiled back.
"So, Kami-sama, what magic do you use?" Yukino asked me as I sat down next to her at the front of the booth. "I use a combination of air and wind magic." She smiled at me. "Just like Chandler!" Orga said with a smile. Chandler just 'tsk'ed. These guys didn't seem as bad as Delaney said they were. Again, a blind one, she is.
TIMESKIP
The first event was something called 'Chariot' and it was exactly what it sounded like. The competitors raced along a series of moving chariots and had to dodge obstacles along the way.
Natsu, being the brilliant individual that he is, was competing for Fairy Tail Team A and Gajeel for Team B. I don't know why, but Sting insisted on participating in this round. While everyone from other guilds were running ahead, the poor dragon slayers were struggling to stand up straight. Good God, will they never learn?
While the boys were discussing Sting and his motion sickness, I looked over to the Fairy Tail section. I saw Mavis looking at me with a sad expression. Astrum and Lucina stood behind her with the same face. They understand, but Delaney won't and she won't listen to my side either.
The good part was that Sky and Ross were both focused on the event taking place. Delaney was too, but she would notice eventually. She'd smell me from here and she would drag me to sit with her until the day ended. Lilith, Delaney's exceed, noticed and I plead with my eyes for her not to tell. She shrugged. She wouldn't tell unless she felt like she had to.
I turned my attention back to the event. Everyone except for the dragon slayers had crossed the finish line. I heard Sting ask why Fairy Tail was doing this. Why we were competing. I couldn't have agreed with Natsu's answer more.
"The reason we're doing this...is for our friends. For the ones...who waited for us...for all of the years we were gone. They were humiliated...but even so, they stayed strong...and the kept our guild together. We're doing this for all of them. And gonna make sure that everyone knows...THE FAIRY TAIL GUILD NEVER GAVE UP, NOT FOR AN INSTANT! SO THERE'S NO WAY I'M GONNA GIVE UP NOW!!!" After Natsu said that, I saw the members of Fairy Tail crying. I tried my hardest not to cry myself. I smiled as I thought about how much I love my guild.
Natsu got us 2 points, Gajeel got Team B 1 point. Sting dropped out, so Sabertooth got 0 points. Sad.
Sting came back and sat down next to me, muttering about Fairy Tail's motivation. I leaned into his shoulder and he wrapped an arm around me. Since he was sitting in my lap, I patted Lector's head softly and he leaned into my stomach.
