Kami's POV

Trying to find that girl was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. She seemed to disappear without a trace. But still, I tried. I had to. I made a promise to my best friend in the entire world and I had to do this for her.

As I was running, I saw a red dragon with a weird claw thing on its face. It had white magic attacking it. 'It's Sting!' I thought to myself and ran towards the dragon.

"Sting!!!" I yelled once he was in sight. I turned his head slightly and smiled at me. "Hey babe!" He said. "Quick question; have you seen a woman who looks vaguely like Delaney?" I asked him. He looked at me with a confused face. "Don't ask." I said.

"Nope." He said and continued fighting. I pitched in and used some of my magic attacks. "C'mon! Let's go find Rogue...and the lady you were looking for." Sting said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the dragon. It followed us, but we didn't care. All we had to do was stay ahead of it. I managed to fill Sting in on the whole future thing, but I left out the part about all of our deaths.

Eventually, we found Rogue on his knees with his head down in front of a blue dragon. "Hey man! What are you doing?!" Sting yelled to him. "Sting, you defeated your dragon?" Rogue asked with a confused expression. "Not exactly." I said. "We brought it with us!" Sting said with a smile.

Future Delaney appeared on top of the blue dragons head, looking down on us all. "Rogue...my love." She said, smirking. "W-What?" Rogue stuttered, trying not to blush in a situation like this.

"Dude, you and Delaney get married in the future." Sting smiled at his friend and slapped him on the back. "S-Shut up, Sting." Rogue said and tried to hide his blush.

"Umm, guys? I hate to interrupt your congratulations, but the world is kind of being taken over by dragons." I said as I tapped my foot. "Sorry, babe. Come on Rogue! Let's show these bastards the power of the Twin Dragons!" Sting cheered. "Yeah, let's do it. Kami, you get Future Delaney." Rogue said to me.

I nodded and flew up to get her while the boys started fighting the dragons. I threw my leg up in an attempt to kick her, but she flipped backwards and my leg went over her head.

She grabbed it and pulled me down so that she could punch me in the jaw. She let go of me and I stumbled back. She giggled and charged at me. "Lightning Shadow Dragon Talon!" She said as the attack hit me.

"Lightning Shadow Dragon Force." She said as black and yellow scales appeared on her cheeks, down her sides, and down her arms. She continued to hit me over and over again. She was moving faster than before, making it difficult for me to even try to land a hit.

I fell to my knees in pain, panting as she walked towards me. "Well, well..." She said. I could hear the pure evil in her voice. It made me want to cry. This isn't what Delaney will become. She can't be this. "So this is what it looked like when the queen of the sun died."

I tried to move but every time I shifted my body. I sharp pain in my leg brought me back down.

Something came down on my head and a numbness ran down my body. Something wet coursed down my face and covered my eye. My eyes closed slowly and everything began to fad away. Before I blacked out, I heard Sting yell my name.

Sting's POV

When I was fighting the dragon, we let Kami fight the Delaney from the future. I knew that she could do it, or so I thought.

I heard a sickening crack in the distance and looked up to where Kami and Future Delaney were fighting.

I saw Future Delaney lift her fist from Kami's head...it was covered in Kami's blood. "KAMI!!!" I yelled to her as she fell.

Future Delaney laughed and pushed Kami's body off of the dragon. I ran to her and caught her before she hit the ground.

Her skin was already cold and pale and her eyes were closed. "H-hey, Kam. Wake up." I begged her even though I knew she was gone. "Kami, please! Wake up! You can't leave me!" I cried into her shoulder.

"What a pitiful display." The red dragon sneered. I put Kami down gently and stood up. "Damn you!" I yelled and charged at it.

Kami's POV

'What was that? Did I just...die?' I thought as I replayed what had happened. Future Delaney seemed to be going over it too, so I took the opportunity to get behind her and punch her in the back. If I got another chance, I wasn't going to let it slip away.

TIMESKIP

"Good job, Natsu." I whispered to the air. He destroyed the Eclipse Gate and sent Future Rogue, Future Delaney, and those dragons packing.

I turned around to face Sting and Rogue. "Good job, guys." I smiled at them. "Thanks, Kami. But I can't believe we couldn't slay a dragon." Rogue sighed. I patted his shoulder and smiled at him. "It's okay. You did good."

"I didn't slay one either you know." I heard Sting growl under his breath. I rolled my eyes and walked over to him. "I'm proud of you too, dummy." I said resting my head on his chest. He chuckled and kissed my head.

"Hope you didn't forget about me! I'm a dragon slayer too!" I heard a female voice whine. Delaney was standing there with Chandler, Sky, Ross and Lilith.

I laughed. "Of course not, Laney. Good job." She smiled at me proudly. "Delaney, your face is bleeding!" Rogue said in a panicked tone. "Oh, yeah. It's fine." Delaney said casually. "It's not fine! Here." Rogue ripped off some of his cape and wrapped it around Delaney's head. Both Delaney and Rogue blushed.

"Ship it...so much!" I whisper-yelled to Sting. He laughed and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. I got a random thought, standing there watching my family and friends laugh about the day's events.

"Sting...?" I asked as I rested my head on his shoulder. He hummed in response. "W-would you be willing to..." I paused and wondered if I should actually say it. "What is it, babe? If something's on your mind, you can tell me." Sting said and ran his hand up and down my side.

"I would like you to meet my father." I said and his hand stopped. "I thought you said that your dad died." Sting said. "No, my mother died. My father still lives here in Crocus." I explained to him.

"Okay. I'd love to meet him." Sting said and kissed the top of my head.
