Chapter 5

Mae's POV

How I met Daniel was after we all went to the movies. It was kind of a strange day and it was a good day for me.

( Flashback to when she met Daniel at the movies)

We went to the movies leaving Katalina behind in the park because she wanted to stay in peace and quiet and I completely understood her.

They all wanted to watch a horror movie called The Conjuring 2 to which Rose took a lot of convincing to watch the movie only she agreed to watch it if Joshua held her held through the whole movie.

When the movie started I really had to use the bathroom so I left the movie to quickly run to the bathroom, as I did my business I washed my hands and headed out.

As I was heading back to the movie; I saw this guy talking in the phone with someone well more like yelling on the phone

" Are you serious Alice?! My fucking best friend?! You cheated on me with my fucking best friend!!" He yelled into the phone hanging up and putting the phone in his pocket.

I stepped back a little to which caught his attention and caused him to look up. I am a brave person but that kind of scared the shit out of me.

¨ Hey sorry I didn't mean to scare the shit out of you. So yea I just got dumped so fucking great!¨ He said as he sat on the bench right next to the girls bathroom as I sat next to him and looked at him before I spoke

¨ So I presume it was this alice girl? If you don't mind me asking what happened?¨ I said as he sighed

¨ Well Alice and I we were dating for a year to which was a whole lie because she fell for my best friend well ex and she cheated on me. I found out because she texted me saying she was breaking up with me because she felt bad for leading me on more.¨ He said as i only nodded as he continued

¨ She could have told me that a little while ago! Leading me on! Fuckinb bitch¨He said so pissed off no wonder she didn't want to tell him, i mean i would be so scared to tell him

¨You can't control who you love and maybe she was afraid to tell on how you would act.¨ I said as he looked at me before laughing which I thought was a little bit strange

¨ sorry sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Daniel and you are?¨ Daniel said as he smiled at me to which I chuckled nervously. I mean he had an odd behaviour but don't we all

¨ My name is Mae and not the month May but like Mae with an e¨ I said as he laughed and I hope he wasn't laughing at me

¨ You have a weird personality but I like it¨ He said as his phone started vibrating in his pocket but he completely ignored it

¨ Maybe you should answer it¨ I said as he got his phone and looked who was calling him before he excused himself and answered it

¨ Bryan you slept with my girlfriend for the whole of my relationship how the hell am I not suppose to be mad! What the hell?!?! Look you could have told any day because we always see each other .. how could you do that to me? We have been best buds since middle school!¨ He said somewhat kind of raising his voice but I knew he was trying to be calm

" No no I don't want to hear how you were in love with her but I went out for 3 hours! 3 hours! And you had time to have sex with her? wtf is wrong with you? Why didn't you stop it yea I know she's fucking hot I dated her!" He yelled to the phone as he looked at me smiling at him

He started to relax because by the tone of his voice started to go down and he calmly talked to this Bryan dude on the phone

" Look man the minute you slept with my ex is the minute we stopped being friends alright now delete our friendship from your life because that's what I'm going to do bye" Daniel said as he hung up and sat back down
