Sami couldnt take it. Noah and Mario have been breaking down, and fighting for two hours now. The sun was just beginning to rise over the mountains. For some reason, that gave Sami hope. A faint memory then hit her.
"What are you doing out here?" Asked Sami. Suddenly, they were 10 years old. The young, skinny girl stared at the sky. Her hair flowed down her back, her grey eyes glittering like the stars above their heads. "Im watching the stars. I came out here to see the sun rise. Its really pretty. Wanna join me?" The strange girl asked.
Sami sat beside her, looking at the stars. The girl turned to her, the moon flushing a bright light over her ghostly pale skin. "Im Star. Your in my class I think."
Sami nodded. "Im Sami. So.. what do you do out here?"
Star's eyes seemed to lose their glitter a bit. "I wonder why my mother named me 'Star'. Its always been a mystery to me. She died before she had the chance to tell me. Its been three years. She loved constellations, and watching the Sun. So I do, too. It makes me feel closer to what Ive lost." She smiled.
Sami looked up at the sky. "Thats... wow."
Star shrugged, and leaned back to lie in the grass. "Everyone thinks Im weird. I know Im different. I dont really have friends."
"Ill be your friend." Sami said. She saw the sun rising.
"Isnt it... beautiful?" Star said. The morning light gave both girls a pinkish-orange colour to their skin. After the sun came up, both girls stood and dusted themselves off.
Star gave a small smile. Her eyes seemed distant. Sad. "Thanks...Sami."
"Anytime, Stary." Stars weirdly coloured eyes widened, and a grin spread. The girls smiled, then walked back to town together.
Sami smiled to herself as she snuck away from the arguing boys. She slowly made her way to the edge of the cliff, looking for a way to climb down. Looking over her shoulder, they havent noticed her being missing. Yet.
Sami began climbing the rocky, slippery cliff, going down to the place of the incident. She made sure that no one could see her, and she felt inside her boot to make sure the dagger was still safely intact. She walked over to a familiar body. Star. She knew, because of the dark, almost black hair. She kneeled before her best friend, putting two fingers on her jugular. A faint pulse. She wasnt dead! Something grabbed Samis hand.

"S-Sami..." I said. I held her hand, it felt so warm. Everything hurt. I knew I was going to die, very soon. My hand glowed red."Pl-Please... Sami take some of my power...S-save the others..." My eyelashes fluttered, in and out of consciousness.
"Star... I will..." Sami said. Her eyes turned pure white as she took my power.
My hand dropped. My heartbeat was slowing, my breathing grew faint.

Sami stared at her friend as she took in the demonic power. She was so cold."Thank you.. for.. being my friend... that day..." Star said quietly. Sami knew exactly what she was talking about.
After she took the power, Stars hand hit the ground. Sami stood, looking up. Star had fought so hard. With her life. Now, she had made Sami her blood sister, with shared powers.
Star always had it rough, Sami thought. Now, Ill help her. Star's 10 year old grinning face flashed in her mind. She smiled.
"Ill be your friend Star. Ill save them."
Sami, eyes white with a demons soul, easily walked back up towards the cliff.
Shes going to protect her sister and her family.
