Truth Or Dare; Live Or Die

Chapter Ten: Untitled.

I slowly swung my legs over to the side of the bed, my bare feet touching the cold floor.

"S-Star you need to stay in bed." Sami said, rushing to my side.

"Im fine. We have to get that game. We have to destroy it." I looked at the group. Noah and Jason were missing. Odd.

"Where did Noah and Jason go?" I asked.

"They said.. they were gonna go play something? They ran off with the board-game. Uh... is that bad?" Sami said.

I stood up quickly. We had to get them to not play the game. I went over and woke everyone up. I made Mario and Scott leave so I could change clothes. As I was pulling my jeans on, Trinity said something strange.

"Ive been thinking. If that game made you go, like, crazy possessed, could something happen to us if we played the game, all together? A pentagram has six points right? Its a star, with six points. With a circle. If.. all the humans sat at the points, with the demonic one in the middle... would that erase the curse?"

I stared at her. At first, I was offended to be referred to as 'the demonic one', but she could be on to something.

"You may have a point," I said, "But it could cost lives. I dont want to lose any of you. So, if we are going to try this, then first we have to go find the other two guys. Then, we're gonna need dark red chalk. Ill draw the pentagram, since it could cause something to happen. Alright."

"But, wait. What if, to break the curse, we all have to play the actual game?" Sami said. She was right.

"Then we'll play the game. Dont worry, I will protect you all with my life." I pulled my shirt over my head and tied my shoes.

"Lets go."

****Behind The School****

Jason gave Noah an uncertain look. "You sure we should do this? Remember what happened to Star?"

"I do. But I wanna see how bad it really is." Noah took the game out and set it infront of him and Jason. The box was still glowing a dark red, the crystal aswell. It was a beautiful colour.

"Lets open it, then." Jason said.

****Back in the Hospital****

"Guys, we gotta get going." I pulled the IVs out of my arm. It stung at first, but I then put a bandage over the small incisions. I opened the hospital door and stepped into the almost empty, darkened hallway. There wasnt a nurse or doctor in sight. I could hear faint sounds of coughing. I looked at my friends.

"I think I may know where they went."

We took the elevator. When we reached the ground floor, we all stumbled out. We took off quickly to the front entrance, hiding when guards sensed us. We stepped out into the crisp, fresh night air. I paused, looking at the stars. They were shining a weird colour. Something didnt feel right. The pit of my stomach dipped.

We all ran and jumped into Samis car, who had already started the ignition.

"Head for the school." I said, jumping into the front passenger seat. Scott, Mario, and Trinity crammed into the back.

Sami crept along the road towards the school. I checked my purse. Dark red chalk. Check. First aid kit, check. We were ready. When we finally reached the school, Sami killed the headlights. She parked into the back parking-lot, and a faint red glow told me that Noah and Jason were here.

As soon as Sami killed the engine, I jumped out and raced toward the glow. My head was pounding. I fought back the nausea and dizziness. I ran up behind Noah and smacked the back of his head. He looked back at me, surprised. My face had a strong look of fury. He looked to me, then the game, to Jason, then to me again.

"Dont. Freak." Jason said, grabbing my arm. I snatched my arm back.

"You couldnt even tell me you two were going to do something so stupid!" I yelled.

"How is it stupid?" Jason yelled back.

"This game is DANGEROUS!" Me and Sami both yelled.

Trinity jumped into the middle of the fight. "Look, we can help all of us here. I may have found out a way for us to FIX THE CURSE!"

Noah and Jason stared at her.

"What is it..." They said in unison.
