Clary POV

I found it hard to meet every ones gazes but I did, all I could offer was a sheepish smile in explanation of the crying girl on the floor.

"Oh, by the angel Clary! Not again" Jesy exclaimed, more amused than surprised.

"What do you mean again?" I asked trying to feign some sort of innocence. But in truth this happen on a regular basis. These smack downs are just the icing on the cake, compared to some of the stuff I have got myself into the past few years.

The expression on my parabatais face was enough to set me off in fits of giggles. 
"You totally always ruin the moment! It was all dramatic then you had to come in like "Not again!", I was really going to go all out with this one" I said in exasperation. One quality I'm glad of is that I can find the humour in any situation, but I doubt Bethan felt the same way. That could be partly because she is in a heap on the ground but I may be wrong...

I can't believe she actually touched my necklace! That girl has no idea what it'd cost me if I lost that. My plan would be screwed and I would have to put up with my brother forever. The Clave seem to think he has disappeared into thin air but if any one knows it's me. He is definitely not gone.

Jace POV

Wow........................................................

I can't actually believe what I just witnessed. I don't actually know what is life anymore! That was the single most awesome thing I have ever experienced in my life, Clary is one of the best shadowhunters I have ever seen. Trust me, I was previously number one but I could say we are at least tied or I'm second.... You would think I would be a bit put out but I am currently trying to hide a ear to ear grin.

"Oh, by the angel Clary! Not again" Jesy exclaimed, seeming more entertained that horrified.

"What do you mean again?" Clary asked, trying to feign some sort of innocence.

"GUYYS!!!" Bethan shrieked from the training room floor. At this pitiful noise Isabelle burst out laughing and went on to say

"An iratze and you'll be fine" with amusement lacing her dry tone. With a huff Bethan rose to her feet and tried to fix her rumpled hair, a pout on her lips.  I really need to work harder with her in training... am I that bad of a teacher? With a scowl plastered on the blonde girls face she eyed us all in turn. Giving an especially scathing look to Clary, who just winked back in return. Jeez that girl is perfect. Clary I mean, not the attention seeker. I could hardly look Bethan in the eye without  launching into a laughing fit, my lip quirked up into a smirk but I tried hard to keep my expression neutral.

"Learning to accept defeat is a crucial part of life." I spouted out this random crap. My voice broke and I almost laughed in her face, but covered it up with a cough. I would like to totally rub in the fact she was so confident that she could beat Clary then got her arse kicked, but regretfully I have to train her many days a week. I would rather not have her being all pissy, she's hard enough to  bear when she is fake smiling all over the place. I patted the frustrated blonde on the head once and swiftly exited before I broke down. Leaving Izzy, Alec and Jesy to pick up the pieces. Regretfully I couldn't hold in my amusement until I was out of earshot but who cares anyway? Clary needs at least one person on her side...

Sorry I haven't been updating, I've had to revise for exams recently and have writers block :/ Sorry this is much shorter than usual...

Hopefully this is ok and to be honest this is kind of a filler chapter. I'm not sure if i like it yet haha

If you would I would love some of you guys to have input on a new character I'm thinking of adding. It will be a guy and he will kind of be Clary's shadowhunter guy best friend. I wonder what Jace'll think about that, huh?...

I will be carrying on with this and there is a lot to come. if you want please comment what you think about adding our new guy and the story so far!!!!!
