jimin slung his bag over his shoulder as he left the school building, pulling his phone out of his back pocket and powering it on, notifications from his social media accounts flooding in, as well as texts from his friends back in busan. he went to answer some of the texts when a slightly deep voice called out his name.
jimin turned around only to see taehyung cooly walking over, his hands empty except for his phone and a set of keys. jimin put his phone in his pocket and smiled at taehyung, "oh, hi."
"are you walking home?" taehyung asked, looking down at jimin. the smaller of the two nodded, feeling his blood rush to his cheeks. taehyung had smiled at jimin when he asked the question and it made the brunette's heart flutter.
"yeah, i am." jimin nodded slightly, batting his eyelashes at taehyung. he tried not to let his eyes linger on the younger, but he was failing. jimin thought taehyung was just too pretty to not look at.
"do you even know your way home, jimin?" taehyung asked. jimin noticed that taehyung always spoke smooth and slow; very cooly and it intimidated jimin.
jimin felt his face grow hot; he was sure his face was bright red. he stumbled over his words as he answered taehyung, "u-uh, i mean...not really."
taehyung let his eyes fall over the flustered boy in front of him, biting his lip gently before speaking up. "do you know your address? i can give you a ride home."
"are you sure?" jimin asked, "i don't want to be a bother."
"would you rather walk with the chance of getting lost, or let me drive you and safely get home?" taehyung asked. jimin internally cowered at taehyung, the younger's gaze hard.
jimin let out a heavy sigh, letting his face visibly drop as he gripped on tighter to his bag and begin walking. "fine."
"where are you going?" taehyung asked, watching with an amused expression as jimin walked to opposite direction he should have been.
"um, to your car?" jimin turned around, his face scrunched with confusion. taehyung laughed dryly, walking opposite of jimin.
"you're going the wrong way. come on, my car is this way."
—
jimin was sitting in the passenger seat of taehyung's car and to say he was calm would be a lie. he wasn't sure what kind it was, but it was obvious it had cost a good amount of money.
"where do i turn now?" taehyung asked, slowing down as they approached a stop sign. jimin blinked and thought for a minute.
"you take a left, and then you're on my street." jimin tells him, the other only nodding. jimin glanced over at taehyung and swallowed thickly. he had only one hand on the steering wheel and let his other arm sit on the arm rest. you could see taehyung's arm veins clearly, and it was making jimin all hot and flustered. jimin's sudden mood change didn't go unnoticed by taehyung, the younger only smirked.
"oh, you don't live too far from me." taehyung mindlessly says, his eyes scanning the familiar houses. he glanced at jimin, the brunette's cheeks bright red. i'm just sitting next to him and he's all hot and bothered, taehyung thought, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
"really?" jimin asked, trying to make an attempt to keep the conversation going. he liked to hear taehyung's voice—whether he was actually talking or he was just humming lowly. taehyung nodded slowly. jimin looked out of the window to spot his house, "that light brown house on the left is mine."
"you mean the light brown house with the boxes in the driveway?" taehyung asked, quirking an eyebrow and looking at jimin, pulling up in front of his house.
"yeah." jimin nodded, undoing his seatbelt. he looked over at taehyung, "um, do you want to come in?"
taehyung winked at jimin, "i've got things to do, but thanks for the offer. get in safely, baby."
