I'm imagining a cold wintery morning, the frosty windows and soft blankets. The snow falling softly outside as my beautiful baby girl Bella watches in awe with her beautiful chocolate eyes that she got from Ian. She also got her cute little smile from Ian.
"Wanna go play?" I ask her in my mom voice, she isn't able to understand me at all but she gurgles in response to my blabbering.
I set her in her little play pen, pinch her cute little cheeks, and trot to the closet to grab her winter apparel as well as mine. I manage to squeeze her chunky baby body into her baby pink snowsuit that was once my own when I was her size, and I grab her handmade purple mittens and hat that I made for her. She continues to gurgle at me and smile, her two teeth showing, and she looks like a big pink marshmallow. I slip into my snow pants and jacket swiftly, gathering my gloves to take outside with me.
"Alright," I say scooping her up, "lets go play in some snow."
I'm determined to make some fun out of this cold and frosty weather we've had, and I walk outside to the blissful whiteness that covers the yard and the trees and all of the other nooks and crannies of the house.
"Look at that Bella," I point out into the thick forestry that is our backyard, "a fox!"
She giggles at me, her little rosy cheeks plump and prominent from smiling. She's always a happy baby. I plop her into the snow, and I sit in front of her as we work on building a snowman together. Well, it's mostly me making it. I gather a petite snowball, rolling it through the light fresh snow that has just fallen. I roll it to a good spot, and that starts the bottom of the snowman.
Quickly I finish the rest of the snowman and I lose track of Bella. I check over my shoulder to where I left her and she was gone. Luckily though, her little snow prints are evident in the snow and I follow them towards the forest. I needed sticks anyways. I notice another set of prints, animal prints, next to Bella's and I immediately panic. I panic until I come to a clearing in the forest.
There's Bella... and a fox.
I stand there, arms crossed in awe as I witness this beautiful interaction in front of me. Bella, a foot away from the fox, they're just playing in the snow together. The fox is trotting in circles trough the snow and Bella is hysterically laughing. I can't help but sit and watch, and think that it's just a sign from Ian. I hope he's okay.
