Several heated competitions of Mario Kart later, Jin and Namjoon had decided that it was time for a little round of cards. Jimin was still tucked in Yoongi's lap and had been since they'd entered the unfamiliar vicinity, for fear of not being able to go home if he ever had to get off his human's lap. Scratch that. Yoongi was his home. Wherever Yoongi was, was his place of residence. Yoongi was more than just a human in the feline's sharp eyes, he was the warmth inside his small chest, the light in which he woke up to every morning. Jimin looked at him like he was his entire world, as if Yoongi had the galaxy hidden in his eyes as he held his long-time companion in his arms for dear life. He was there whenever Yoongi cried, there whenever Yoongi needed someone to listen... he was there for the sole purpose of being there... and he asked for nothing more than his human's gummy smile to never fade from the split in his pale face.

"What the hell is this game?" Yoongi asked despondently as Namjoon reached inside his school bag for something. Jin was already shuffling the cards and spreading them across the brown coffee table in the middle of the living room.

"It's called," he set three bottles of beer on the coffee table. "Kings." He flashed a mischievous grin, infecting Jin as he looked at him from across the drinking arena. Yoongi however, was more bewildered than a tourist who couldn't read a word of Korean.

"We're playing what now?" He asked again, eyeing the three bottles of alcoholic concoction set at the table. "We're drinking? Does aunt Hyojin know about this?" Jin's mother, a force to be reckoned with when angered and hot headed, but mostly just a middle aged woman with a heart of gold.

"She won't find out, it's 3 in the morning." Jin intervened, his smile wavering just a little.

"Shit, it's that time already?!" Yoongi snapped his head to the direction of the clock so abruptly, he was afraid he might have injured his neck in the lamest way possible. "I need to go home; I haven't got clothes or a toothbrush or anything fit for a sleepover." Yoongi picked up his sleepy kitty from his lap and tried to get up from the spot he'd planted himself on for what seemed like centuries. His legs and rear end were numbed with the lack of circulation in the veins of his lower half, but still, he fought the pins and needles poking at his legs to get to a standing position, groaning as he put his weight on the pads of his feet.

"What are you talking about? Of course you can sleep over." Jin limped to his feet and hurriedly sat Yoongi down with a frivolous smile. "You both can, I have underwear and pyjamas for days!"

"Oh no, we couldn't trouble you like that," Yoongi protested, but the older male was already in pursuit of his bedroom for boxers and sleepwear. Namjoon shook his head at how much energy Jin had stored in his body, such a big man didn't need to have that much stamina, especially after 15 rounds of Mario Kart.

"It's fine!" the eldest male started for the stairs, a spring in his step at the implication of a sleepover. "Those extra toothbrushes I got in the supermarket sale can be put to use now!" there wasn't anything stopping him. Jin could tell Yoongi had grown a little distant since they were kids, so he did all he could to get the younger boy in on the antics he and Namjoon mostly part took in when they had nothing better to do. Having lunch on the stairs was now the only thing they did together as a three, Yoongi always raced home after school and spared not another minute socialising with his two friends in the late nights of his high school days.

Jin missed their childhood, the burden of exams had no place in their minds when they were children. No responsibilities to take care of or college admissions to drain their concentration. Back then they did anything and everything together, without fail or worry that they would be fine on their way home. Now however, a third of Jin's whole world had been spending time away from their company, and he didn't like it.
