Pete is strong.
Smart.
Aware.
And above all, conscious.
Which is what makes him special.
It scares them.
It scares them how different he is.
How in control he is.
"Take the bite, it's right there for you."
One drop of blood and everyone else turns into the vampire equivalents of hungry dogs.
Or maybe even wolves.
Seeing as though they're more vicious.
Though for him, he can go without it.
Having told himself he isn't going to be like them.
Just because he didn't have a choice in being changed, doesn't mean he isn't going to have it with it changing him.
He fights alongside the vampire hunters to take vampires down, rather than joining them.
He won't let them win.
Because instead of draining people of their lives he's training with them to save them.
